Civvie Stuff
Name: Derrick Morelock
Age: N/A, 19
Sex: N/A, Male
Nationality:North American
Occupation: Student, craft store employee
Species: Imin
Celebrity Claim: Harrison Ford
Hair color/style: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Description: Six feet tall, tends to wear baggy clothing to hide his lack of mass, or excess mass at points. Wears hair short, again because of a lack of useable mass. Derrick leans towards earthy tones, due to the origin of his biomass being mostly charred flesh and wood. His arms and legs are slightly longer than an average human, an evolutionary improvement on the slime's point of view. In an effort to distribute the damaged biomass, Derrick is essentially skeletal anywhere he can get away with it, another reason why he always wears long clothing and normally has on gloves.
Ranger Stuff
Name: Reaper Black
Team: Unknown, I don’t really know the teams very well. Are any looking?
Morpher /Sequence: Morpher is a slightly oversized folding touchscreen phone, with two screens on the inside instead of a keyboard. The sequence consists of him drawing the symbol for his chosen form on the inner screen and shutting it. The phone melts into his wrist and wraps over his shin, shrinking into a skeletal form with a black robe, and a weapon based on the symbol he drew.
Description of Ranger Form:
Black: Skeleton turns black, weapon is a scythe. This is his primary form, and the one he is most familiar with.
Hydro: Skeleton turns blue, weapon is a staff. The staff can turn into water to flow around obstacles.
Aero: Skeleton turns grey, weapon is a pair of see-through Chakram. The Chakram can be linked together to form a bolo weapon.
Terra: Skeleton turns green, weapon is a large warhammer. This is his ‘Breaking and Entering’ form.
Pyro: Skeleton turns red, weapon is a pistol. Pistol rounds act as incendiary rounds, lighting the target on fire.
Weapons:
- Scythe
- Staff
- Chakram
- War-hammer
- Plasma pistol
Zord:
- Cerberus Zord: A skeletal looking canine, colors and powers adjust to fit current form. Stores in the normal form of a black SUV, shifts forms when called.
Inside Stuff
Personality: Seems distant, even when cracking jokes or helping teammates. Derrick has a tendency to make light of situations that he really shouldn't, or darken things that should be light and cheery, as a result of his inhumanity and the corrupted genetics he copied for a host form. He makes light of things with overly cheery jokes and puzzles, while darkening light things with grim humor and wry jokes. This has led to him becoming friends with the goth and emo crowds at school, although he doesn't really understand them at all.
Strengths:
- Being a shapeshifter utilizing a human body, he is far more flexible than a normal human, even when trying to maintain his masquerade.
- He is fairly good at blending into new situations, as befitting his shapeshifter aspect.
- His ability to react to a situation has been improved by learning to work with a team.
Weaknesses:
- As a shapeshifter, he does have the tendency to try and worm his way out of situations he gets caught in.
- Being just biomass, he never bothered to learn to cook, and actually fears the heat from the stove, as it creates pain.
- He does have a little trouble showing the proper human emotion, even with the help of his teammates trying to normalize them.
History: The human body of Derrick belonged to a high school student who, unfortunately, got in a terrible car accident. Before the accident, the boy had grown up in a fairly normal way, partying with friends and working on school. The Iman slime was actually partially to blame for the accident that killed the body, having fallen off a transport truck and gotten stuck in the wheel well. In its attempt to escape the spinning wheel, it accidently caused the vehicle to swerve off the road.
When the police and an ambulance showed up, they found the car totaled, but the boy, Derrick, sitting on the hill, unscathed. When questioned, they determined that the boy had suffered a small concussion, leaving him with amnesia. Actually, they had found the Iman, utilizing the biomass of the corpse in the driver’s seat. Over the next few months, it was able to reconstruct the life of the boy, using friends and family, and the amnesia excuse. During that time, it was approached by a recruiter for the Rangers. Not really knowing what else to do, it accepted, figuring they were coming for the boy it had absorbed, not for it.
Before the accident that took Derrick's life, he was fairly popular, using his incredible diplomatic skills to merge and change cliques from outside their sphere of influence. He never accepted a girlfriend, due to his insistence that she would only be a distraction, and he never showed interest in anything other than creating peace, or war, as he saw fit. By late high school, a few months before the accident, the cliques seemed to realize what he was doing, and had actually planned to off him rather viciously. Unfortunately they never got the chance. The new Derrick, the one that they met after the accident, seemed to have fixed all the problems from before, although no-one was really sure if it was brain damage, or if he had just had a revelation, sitting there by his wrecked truck.
Anything Else: The Iman feels that it has a mission to fulfill, but really doesn’t know what it was. Part of his personal mission, besides blending in, is to find out what that original mission is.
Sample RP: The canister of slime rocked slowly on the back of a large pallet truck, bearing a corrosive hazard card. As the truck rounded a corner, the small canister slipped a little. The weight of other canisters pushing on it squeezed the loose metal tank out, where it fell to the road. The thin metal, made by the cheapest bidder, ruptured, spreading the slime across the road.
Just a few seconds later, an old looking beat-up truck curved over it, sucking the slime up into the wheel well. The driver, a teenage boy, reacted to the slick surface by trying not to slip, while dropping his phone into the passenger’s footwell, “Ah Shit!”
The truck veered roughly to the side, spilling over onto its side and punching through the guard-rail. It tumbled to the bottom, the sound of crunching metal punctuated by screams from the driver. The slime managed to extricate itself just in time to be smashed into a thick tree trunk that stopped the truck very abruptly. The engine burst into flames as the engine folded around itself, and the slime began panicking.
The remainder of the slime, after it managed to get away from the fire, started looking for useable mass to rebuild itself. Unfortunately, with all the fire everywhere, there wasn’t very much to use, just the charred tree and the corpse, cooked almost into coal. It absorbed what it could from both before finding a spot to recover on the hill, taking the form of the driver, just in case someone stumbled across it and was looking for them.
