Ankh snarled and grabbed at both of McKenzie's legs when a powerful water spout hit Mezool and threw her aside. Dolepi giggled as she advanced, watching a gurgling fountain in her hand.

"Mezool! Get under a table or something!" she shouted, getting ready to use the Lion Medal again, and in a full Combo as she reached to change leg Medals when Mezool would be away.

Dolepi growled and fired at McKenzie with another spout of water, trying to make her drop the Cheetah Core.

She couldn't hold it much longer. She switched to Latoratah and scanned.
"Lion, Tora, Cheetah. Latoratah Latora tah" (right?)
A wave of heat and light exploded from her body, hopefully taking care of Dolepi and getting Ankh away.

The light fragmented and was thrown about around Dolepi as she created a large dome of water that began to evaporate. Ankh took the attack easily, light and heat being things that he was used to as the Greeed of flames. He had been taken by surprise but it wouldn't happen again. Ankh's second cringed but gathered fire and slammed Dolepi with flames.

She pushed herself as far away from Ankh as she could, hitting her belt to summon the OOOverdrive device. Against her better judgment, she used it.
"OOOverdrive"
Becoming Latoratah OOOverdrive again was going to really drain her, but she had to try something. She raced forward with incredible speed, her claws coming up as she slid and slashed for Ankh's chest, simultaneously unleashing a blinding burst of light.

The light would do nothing but impar Ankh's vision for a moment as his enchanced senses and increased number of rods in his eye would allow him to continue to differentiate shapes, even if only slightly.
He parried both claws with his forearms, gritting his teeth before he jumped up with a kick with the Condor legs.

Her body was too weak to take too many hits. The Condor Medal would give her bladed legs/kicks. Ankh using the power was basically the same, it felt like. She hit the ground, losing her form, two Medals rolling away from her Driver.
Taka and Kujaku. She tried to get up, but just couldn't anymore. Too many times had she used a Combo today, and OOOverdrive, and never enough rest to sustain herself.

Ankh sneered and dove for his medals when feathers of energy pelted him. He looked up angrily and saw his second walking towards him, wings extended and firing feathers. Ankh picked up his medals but a well-shot feather sent the Taka medal flying towards Ankh's second. They absorbed their shared medals and glared at each other.

Lion, Tiger, Cheetah, Batta, Condol. That's all she had left. She looked at Ankh and his second, knowing that she couldn't fight them. Latorata had failed, and nothing short of a Combo would do any good, she figured.
There was Shauta, but she couldn't take Mezool's precious few Medals like that. She was afraid of what might happen next at this point.

The next best thing happened. Two horizontal waterfalls exploded and slammed into both avian Greeed and electricity began coursing through it, sending the two flying back. Mezool nodded to Dolepi who flitted over to her as she approached McKenzie.
"Sorry." Mezool whispered as she picked her up with Dolepi's help. She was rapidly evolving and what seemed like an attack had been a primitive but somewhat innovative way to get her away from Ankh's second.
Meanwhile, the two avian Greeed continued to fight and the dogfight broke out atop of the streets, violent and an inferno brewing as they fought.

"No...I'm sorry," she whispered weakly, "I...I couldn't fight back, and I made them stronger."
She hated being this weak that they would have to carry her again. She wanted to be able to walk so as not to burden them, but couldn't do anything.

Mezool shifted into a human form and Dolepi randomly chose one off of the street. They took the quick option for a base and rented out a hotel room, Mezool paying with a credit card.
