By the time Kiriha got into the ZeroLiner, everyone else was inside. He clutched Jerome's helmet in his hand, while wearing his own, severely damaged helmet. He said nothing as he walked in.

Airi had drifted off into a light, fitful sleep. The effects of the shock remained with her, making her writhe in pain just a bit from time to time. The white aura also flickered back and forth...but when she heard Kiriha come aboard, her eyes snapped open to look at him.
Natsumi looked at Kiriha, her helmet in her hands as well. "You alright?" she asked.
Ran looked at the helmet, knowing the implications..

He walked to Natsumi, "No," he said, tears visible in his broken eye on his helmet, as his face was partially visible. He set Jerome's helmet down, "He's..." He couldn't bring himself to finish.

Airi looks over at Kiriha, "He's what?" she asked, hoarsely..
Natsumi just gathered Kiriha into her arms...

He put his arms around Natsumi, "I'm sorry, Airi. Jerome couldn't escape the explosion. He gave himself to kill Paragon, the leader of Shocker."
His helmet began to crack again from the damage, splitting and falling off of his head to the ground, showing his face, covered in tears, his eyes bloodshot, even from such a short amount of time in tears.

Airi's face paled, as if she had seen a ghost. "No..." she said softly, her pulse quickening, and other vital signs spiking as a bead or two of sweat began to roll down her face...
Natsumi looked over, holding Kiriha, but afraid for Airi...

Kirihiko went to Airi, holding her close to him to try to comfort her.
Kiriha was trying to think logically, but couldn't make himself believe the words he said, "We have to push forward. That's all we can do; move forward. We have to stop mourning, and fight."

Airi starts to break down a bit, crying and sobbing into Kirihiko's shirt after letting out a tiger's mourning cry.
Natsumi speaks, "Let's continue forward after taking a day to tend to our grief...and become closer. We are fighting together after all."

"It'll be ok," he whispered to Airi, holding her tighter.
"A day," Kiriha said, moving away from Natsumi, keeping it all bottled in as best as he could.

Airi just laid against him and cried...burying her face in his shirt..."He was......he was..." she trailed off, unable to finish before she moaned in pain
Natsumi de-henshined and walked over to Kiriha, taking his hand softly and leading him out to the back of the train, a quiet place that looked out at what they traveled through, which was peaceful.

"I know you really liked him," Kirihiko said, "I'm so sorry." He embraced her more fully.
Tsubasa was indifferent, on the outside. He walked to another room, just to be in peace and think.
"I could have tried to save him," Kiriha said softly to Natsumi, "He wouldn't let me try, or we'd both be dead."

Airi threw her arms around him, her form shuddering under the effects of the shock and her grief...
Ran went to the cockpit, also to be in peace.
Natsumi nodded, "I know. You don't have to bottle it up, Kiriha-kun...I'm here for you." she said, fully willing to be his shoulder to cry on and get out the grief as best he could.

"Come on," Kirihiko said to Airi, "Rest may do you some good."
"Thank you, Natsumi-chan," he turned to her, taking her into his arms and just weeping.

Airi pulled back a little, sighing softly. "Something's wrong with me Kirihiko-kun....I don't know what....but maybe rest would do me good...maybe I could have saved him...I could have pushed myself to the limit and got him away from Paragon...but I didn't..." she said before crying a bit again.
Natsumi nods, holding him close and weeping a little herself.

"Don't blame yourself. Any of us could have tried, but none of us knew what was going to happen. We have no guarantee we could have saved him," he pulled her along, keeping her against him, "Let's find a bedroom for you," he said, "Somewhere for you to rest."
