"Two of us can keep firing, one go through. Or something," Cal said, "Liam, your weapon!"
Liam tossed it to Cal, so he used both, "Both of you, go through and get him!" He continued to hammer at the boulders, opening the gaps.

Aaron continued to fire his weapon at the boulders as well. Don't get killed, Cal! he thought.

"Hurry!" Cal shouted as he continued to fire.
Scarbax never saw the two of them; he just continued to produce boulders.

Scarbax ran forward, hoping to ride a boulder into the Rangers and deal with them then. He didn't think they would be doing something as foolish as coming at him.
Then he saw Aaron and Liam and tried to stop himself.

Scarbax struggled to stop. Liam smashed his shield into the creature's face, knocking it back, into one of its own boulders.

"Let's hope it did!" Liam was pretty happy by his attack. And without Scarbax, the boulders were starting to stop coming, letting Cal come to the others.
He tossed Liam his weapon back, "Well, let's combine our firepower, see if we can take him down," Cal said, lifting his Celestial Blaster.

Cal held his out in both hands, while Liam turned his body, holding his out in one. Both were charging, waiting for a triple shot.

Scarbax stumbled to his feet and rushed them, ignoring the clearly energized attacks waiting to be fired.
"Fire!" Cal shouted, the three blasts lancing out into Scarbax, destroying him where he stood.

Aaron snapped his fingers. "Checkmate!" he said, saying a finisher phrase from one of the Ranger teams, though which one escaped him at the moment.

"Well, we all work together well enough," Cal said, "We need others, though."
"What's going on?" Liam questioned, cutting him off. The Stingers were reducing into bat-like forms and flying around the destroyed Scarbax, enlarging him to a giant form.
