Rio once again felt her warmth...and savored it for just a moment in his mind before banishing the thoughts elsewhere. His goal was true strength...and she was just a subordinate of his. Or so he would keep telling himself...

A little later, he touched down in the central courtyard of RinJyuDen...and removed his hand from the small of her back as he let go of her, looking around a bit, looking at the bracelets and then looking at her.

Mele watched him for a few moments, still blushing, trying to bring it under control. She didn't know how he felt, or if he would care about her, but at the moment, this arrangement was working.

No matter what, she could continue to serve him just the same. If this was the only way she could be with this man that she loved; as his subordinate to never have his love, then so be it.

She hoped that something would change, though...she prayed that he would return her feelings, someday.
