"Nakida what's ... Nakida?" Cross hung up and raced down the street for a few minutes before finding her.
"Nakida, what happened?" He asked, frantically searching for his phone and trying to dial for an ambulance.

Nakida remained silent for a while, staring up at him.
"I was mugged..." She lied finally. She grabbed his leg and pulled herself up, leaning heavily on his body. "Cross... Who's the one who shot you, that time a few months ago?" She asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Had she been mugged? Maybe. She probably wouldn't tell him would she? Kyle sighed. It was 3 in the morning and here he was sitting in bed wondering if his girlfriend was cheating on him or just had insanely bad luck. Maybe both.
