Without thinking, Jasmine had wrapped her arms around Sakura and pulled her close in a hug of warmth...to comfort her. "But you got back up...and you're here today." she said, still maintaining her hold a little bit instinctively.

Sakura leaned in closer to Jasmine and rested her head on her arms, "Thank you Jasmine, just thank you for being here today..."

"You're welcome, Sakura-chan." Jasmine replied, just holding her close for a minute, "I know you're a good person...and that you can become what you aspire to be." Then she looked down to see a little red on Sakura's face and a little red came to her face as well.

"Thank you Jasmine...you're a true friend" Sakura mumbled as she slowly fell asleep from emotional exhaustion and soon fell asleep in Jasmine's arm.

Jasmine looks at her, "Poor thing...she'll be better when she wakes up." she said to herself before slowly walking over to a long bench while holding Sakura up, and sitting down in the middle.
Then she leaned Sakura's form against her chest, with her head resting on Jasmine's right shoulder, and her legs dangling over Jasmine's left arm, which was at bench level. Her right hand rested over Sakura's upper arm, and her head lightly touched Sakura's....the only difference being, Jasmine stayed awake to make sure that her close friend could have a little rest.

Sakura slept for a fair while, when she woke up she saw Jasmine sleeping, "Oh god..." she mutterd to herself, "I fell asleep" she was a bit embarrased at this but was glad that Jasmine was there for her. She looked at Jasmine and admired how beautiful Jasmine looked, she smiled a bit and stroked Jasmine's face lightly and ran her fingers across Jasmine's lips then after making sure she was still asleep she kissed Jasmine's cheek and whispered, "thank you Jasmine for today."

Jasmine woke up a little later to find Sakura looking at her, and she touched her hand to her cheek almost reflexively..."I must have fallen asleep...are you alright Sakura-chan?"

Sakura's face went a little red, "Y-yeah I'm fine Jasmine...sorry that I fell asleep" she then laughed nervously, 'oh god I just kissed her' she thought to herself in alarm, 'I hope Jasmine didn't feel that.'

"That's good to hear." Jasmine said, patting her head slightly as she made no effort to move from the position they were still in, "You don't need to say sorry to me. I'm not your judge....we're equals...and ... close friends." she said, not really over-doing it but the silver badge detective had a ... very unique angle on how Sakura thought and her fears...and in her mind she wanted to help Sakura stand up to those fears.
And, she had felt the kiss...and liked it too. But that was something she would keep to herself...it wouldn't be good if Sakura fainted after all.

"I know Jasmine" Sakura said hugging her dearest friend close to her, "and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my friend even though we've just met. That means a lot to me."

Jasmine returned the hug, smiling softly. "You're very welcome. I couldn't just ignore you." 'Not to mention you look very cute' She hid that thought for a moment, "I think that if we work together you'll be an excellent Deka....but for right now..." Jasmine trailed off...just enjoying the moment now, just her, and a close friend that she comforted.

Sakura continued to hug her, "So I do have someone that cares for me...I'm glad, I thought I would go my whole life without knowing anyone...but I'm glad that you came into my life...I'm just glad."
