Kyle looked around, everything had gone all golden and shimmery ... what the Hell was going on here!? He looked at the tall red and silver ... person. What where they? What was going on?
"This is what you get for being a whiny little b*tch," He muttered to himself.

Delivering a powered chop that sent a Beast howling in rage, Nexus grappled with the biggest one, before taking a shot to the stomach and crying out a bit as she was sent flying.
Getting up to one knee, she touched her right hand to her left gauntlet and thrust the former forward at the Beast, a crescent shot of Light hitting it at high speed. Then she stood to her feet, stretching her hands upward before moving them in a circle in front of her heart, then pointing downward with a battle cry, a tornado of light energy being generated by her control over the Meta Field...its own dimension of sorts.
Guiding the tornado with a wave or two of her hands, she rounded up all of the smaller Beasts into one area, and drilled them into the ground, leaving them immobilized. The Color Timer on her chest began to glow as she encircled it with an arm pose, before placing one foot forward and baring her arms to the side, defeating them all with a golden beam of energy from her chest. This left just one enemy remaining...

Cross had been taken off guard, normally he'd have thrown himself into the monster and started punching but this person seemed to have everything figured out. He was about to shout something encouraging when one of the monsters grabbed him by the throat and began squeezing his neck.

Nexus turned a little in surprise to see the last monster choking the civilian, and jumped forward towards him. When the monster turned around with Kyle in tow, intending to use him as a shield, her right gauntlet glowed for a moment before a blue energy-whip of sorts was projected, coiling around Kyle and placing him inside a protective blue orb, which she held away from the monster as she kicked it backwards
Then she turned to the side and projected the orb of energy away, it landing on the ground nearby with a gentle thud and some sound, but this also meant Nexus got hit in the back as Kyle reappeared.

Kenji fell out of the bubble with a loud "THUMP!". He rubbed his knee for a second before deciding to help out. As Nexus got hit in the back Kyle followed suit by slamming a large branch into the back of the ... thing attacking her.

This distraction made the beast turn around towards him, but it would be its last mistake as Nexus turned around, and thrust one gauntlet down below the waist, before crossing the other gauntlet on it in an X pattern. The twin gauntlets glowed as Nexus raised them up, and then pulled them to the side, blue energy sparking inbetween them as she uttered a battle cry.
Then she thrust both arms into the air and then brought the left one down in an L pattern across the right gauntlet, and a bright blue beam of light was expelled from it, hitting the Beast in the back. Kyle would see very clearly as the Over Ray Storm defeated the creature, making it completely dissipate into tiny spots of light that blew away.
Then, Nexus faded away as Kyle would be forced to protect his eyes as the Meta Field reversed to the normal dimension...and he would look around to find himself alone, but able to see the woman from before walking off down the trail.

That was ... odd. He looked around, everything seemed fine. He got up and decided now was a good time to go back home. He coughed and began to saunter down the trail a few steps behind the young woman.

Rei stopped for a moment to look back and saw him following her. Rolling her eyes a bit she turned back and kept walking...she would not prevent him from walking with her, but neither would she let him be intrusive into matters he had no knowledge of.

Kyle caught her rolling her eyes at him.
"Um ... sorry?" He said responded indignantly.

Rei just shrugged at him, "Nothing." she said in reply as they walked together. "So...what's your name?" she asked.

"Ah, okay," Cross said.
An awkward silence descended upon them like a vulture. Kyle was able to fend it off for at least a second by asking if "Hikari-san" if she was a hiker.

Nakida whimpered quietly as she held a tightly clasped hand high in the air. Blood continued to trickle down her arm and she crumpled by a tree - The Worm had been difficult but the Dopant it was working with had ruined her. Thin cuts were all over her body and she clutched a broken Edge memory when she heard voices.
She frowned as she tried to discern what they were saying.
