The Earl entered the bar and was immediately assailed by the number of sounds that permeated from the bar…he was overwhelmed that there would be this many number of patrons this late at night…but then again this is Wild Space’s Bar so that was to be expected, “I wonder where the hell Cross is in all of this mess?” he muttered to himself before finding a lone woman sitting at a bar, he smiled and sat next to her, “hello Cross…how are ya?”

Suzie looked up and smiled, there were a couple of shot glasses and a glass of beer in front of her, she was crushing an ice cube into an ashtray. "Boooooored, very bored and not knowing what to do," She admitted.

The Earl chuckled, "Always the party girl aren't you Cross?" he asked as he poured her another glass of beer.

"Tell me how have you been?" the Earl asked, "it must be hard for you being the second-in-command of Wild Space Corp...trusting Commander DeRagon, trusting that he tells you everything."

"What do you mean?" She asked, taking another drink.

The Earl shrugged, "Well...you need to trust the Commander, without it this army will fall apart..." then he leaned closer to Suzie, "but what happens if I told you a secret...a secret so well kept that even you don't know about it, a conspiracy bigger than any of us ever realised."

Suzie looked at him for a second and then frowned. "You've been drinking haven't you? You sound drunk," She didn't mean he was slurring his words but he wasn't making much sense.

The Earl looked around him and said, "Come with me Cross, I have something to tell you" then he offered his hand and gestured out the door.

Suzie looked around, took his hand and then followed him obediently.

They arrived at an alleyway that was well away from any cameras or any passer-bys, "Good, we're safe and no one followed us...now look Cross, you know how my parents were murdered right? By someone unknown and that set me up to be Judgement...you know that right?"

"Well...a month ago I met Den-O, you know the time-traveller, and we kind of got into a fight" the Earl began to explain, "however during the fight he let it slip about what happened to the future. Apparently humanity is all but destroyed in the future, Wild Space Corp has fallen and the remaining members scattered to the four winds. In one final gamble to save the future the leaders of Wild Space Corp, including DeRagon, sent various agents through DenLiner and in a sentence 'set up' various people to become Rangers or Riders. A good example is me, they killed my parents so that I could become Judgement, same with Miss Clarke and, I fear yours as well Cross" he stood back to let the information sink in.

Suzie looked a little confused but then her eyes widened. "B-but ... so you mean that ... ?" She swallowed hard and got her breath back "Do you know for sure o-or ... if this is some sort of f*ck*d up joke then I swear to God Clive ..."

The Earl shook his head and grabbed Suzie's shoulder, "It's not Suzie...I'm sorry but there's a high chance that your parents were killed so that you could become Drake, I know it's a lot to take in...it was the same for Miss Clarke but what I'm telling you is the truth."
