Ren's fist collided with the shield, it splintered, flickered and then finally disintegrated into billions of blue specks. Arthur looked around him, inside was the butterfly clockworker that had activated it and ... well that was it. Laertes Polonius had escaped.

Arthur sighed, took a step forward and gave Ren a hug, in order to not make it girly he slapped him on the back twice while he did it. "You are easily one of the most depressing people I've met," Arthur muttered.

"Maybe." Ren said, deciding not to say too much, like about how empty his life was and that he had contemplated suicide in the past because he had no real life. He kept that information out for good reason, though.
