Within Bridge's mailbox at SCU Headquarters sits a letter in rather plain white envelope. It's postmarked from Canada, with a return address that turns out to be a rented post office box.
It reads:
Dear Mr. Carson
I'm not sure how to say this. I'm pretty sure I'm not even supposed to know that you are a Red Ranger but I do. The truth of the matter is that I'm one too. You may have seen me and my team, The Fallen Rangers on the news, particularly after that whole mess in London. I was wondering if you had any advice or anything on how to deal with it and everything. I can't talk to my team about it because they are depending on me to be strong and lead them in battle. The closest people I know who would have any understanding of my experiences as a Ranger are the Riders at Wild Corp but I don't think they really trust me. They didn't bring us in on the situation in London or even tell us about that White Ranger that showed up until she went after our families. I really do hope you decide to write back, I could really use someone to talk to. I'm sorry I didn't give you my real name or address but well you are a cop and well the Fallen Rangers don't get along with the authorities as much as the Dekarangers do. I'd rather not have this letter read by one of your superiors and get us both in trouble.
Sincerly, Alan, Fallen Red

A few weeks later a reply appeared:
Dear Alan,
No, you aren't supposed to know I'm a ranger so well done for figuring it out. I heard about you and the Fallen Rangers but only briefly because we were wrapped up in the moon turning black and everything that came with it. But you seem like good guys so I'm confused as to why the authority's aren't on good terms with you.
If you want advice then feel free to ask me anything and I'll try and answer it as best I can.
-- Bridge
He was rather disappointed about how short it was in comparison but ... what else could he do? Someone had figured out his secret identity, not like Whip who'd seen him change or Hoji who had been told, someone had deducted that he was Dekared.

"I'm just saying. Someone named the subway station after the Punisher." Larry said as the Rangers walked towards St. Andrews.
The others shook their heads. Harriet sighs and explains. "It's named after a Castle owned by someone named Frank. Not Frank Castle. You remember Castleoma, that replica mediveal castle in the middle of the city, less than a block away from Castle Frank station."
Alan wasn't really paying attention to the conversation about Castles and subways but he stops in front of the post office. "You guys go on ahead. I'll catch up later."
"Something wrong Alan?" Penny asked.
"Nah I just need to check my mail. I'll be along in a bit." The others went off on their way as Alan checked the mailbox and got Bridge's letter. It sat in his bag for the rest of the day until he could get home to write a reply.
Dear Bridge,
I heard about that moon thing, must have been hard to deal with that so soon after the Earthquake. To tell you the truth I didn't figure out who you were on my own. Wild Corp may not trust us for missions but they still let us see their files, it wasn't hard to cross reference the appearences of Dekared to the cases that SCU Officer Bridge Carson worked. I haven't told anyone so you don't have to worry about me leaking your secret identity.
I can kind of understand why we aren't popular with the authorities here, in North America it's standard policy to brush the monsters under the rug. No one wants to admit that Megacorps are owned by walking corpses or that the biggest city in Canada is under siege by Angels and Demons. So when the human of identity of a demon turns up missing the spandex clad teenagers that some witnesses saw confront them earlier are made the lead suspects in a murder case and the witnesses' reports that the victim turned into a monster are thrown out as histeria. It's different in Japan I guess, I mean you no doubt have some skeptics but you got a whole police division dedicated to crimes involving monsters and whatever but I suppose it comes with being home to half of the Riders.
Anyways, I'm sure you seen at least once that you can't save everyone. How are you supposed to deal with that? The knowledge that people died and if you had just got there a little faster or took more time to evacuate the area before calling in mecha they could have lived. I know it's not really my fault but I really can't help but to blame myself sometimes.
Thanks for writing back. -- Alan
When the letter makes it to Japan the envelope was repackaged with a note from the post office saying part of the envelope had been burnt. They weren't sure if it was like that before they recived it but apologize for the inconvience all the same.

Bridge got the reply a few weeks later, after someone kept asking why he was googling "Fallen Rangers" he decided to write it later when he got home.
Dear Alan,
I know how you feel. When you work at saving lives it feels even worse when you can't save someone. It's natural to feel guilty, angry and upset over it. I suppose it shows that you still have compassion, that you still care about humanity and the sanctity of life. It may sound horrible but after a while you numb to it, you see too many deaths and ask too many questions and you just keep going and don't let it get to you.
That doesn't mean you stop caring, it doesn't mean you treat lives as collateral damage. It just means that after a while you naturally stop blaming yourself, stop crying at night, stop having bad dreams and focus on the people who did survive. The lives you have saved.

Checking the post office weekly had become something of a ritual to the Alan. He had let the other Rangers know he was writing to another Ranger but refused to tell them anything else. He couldn't afford to lose Bridge's trust.
Dear Bridge,
What you said makes sense but I don't know. Half of the city still thinks I'm a menace despite how many of them I have saved. Sometimes it doesn't feel worth saving them. I'd never actually do that but it's hard when you are actively punished for your good deeds. Larry, our Blue Ranger occasionally talks about going public and just telling the world who we are and what we are doing. We keep dismissing it as over excesive idealism on his part but some part of me thinks it might be a good idea. To not always hide behind the helmets and spandex and show them all we mean well face to face. Then the realization that coming forward would expose our loved ones to the danger kicks in again. That White Ranger is still out there and she's nearly killed our mentor. If the guys sending the monster found out we wouldn't be able to protect the city and our familes at the same time. Why haven't you come forward? I mean you're already a cop, your family is already in danger from the monsters. Showing them you're the Ranger wouldn't hurt right?

Dear Alan
I was going to reveal myself. I was going to take off the helmet, or show someone the SP License. But then this yakuza boss with a Dopant memory found out when I transformed inside his warehouse and took out a bunch of goons.
He was a lot more successful at getting rid of my parents than that white ranger was. Both of them wound up dead and it hit me hard. I was worried that if I revealed myself to anyone bad then someone else would be in danger, I got really paranoid, I didn't use the powers for months.
He's in prison now, but I'm still worried. I've gotten scared that he'll hurt someone else I care about, even though there's not many left. If you think that revealing yourself might threaten your families (Or yourselves if the Fallen Rangers are perceived as badly as it looks) then I wouldn't run the risk. But I would still keep it on the back burner, just in case.

Bridge swallowed, he hadn't even told Hoji about his parents, he felt a little bit upset now.

Dear Bridge,
I'm sorry. I didn't mean know, I wouldn't have brought that up if I had. I guess the secret identity thing is a whole double edged sword. With great power and all that.
I'm not so worried about my own family, my Mother died in one of the first demon attacks and my Dad is the one who arranged for us to get the powers in the first place, he's already at nearly as much risk as we are. He's the reason I'm as hard on myself as I am. He risked everything he has and spat in the face of everything he ever believed in to give us this power to protect people. I don't want to let him down, to make his sacrifices be all in vain. What I really worry about are Larry and Harriet (Blue and Yellow) parents. I'm still not sure about Dad's choice to put them on the team, they are both so young. I mean yeah I can't even drink or vote yet but they'd get a fine for looking at a car the wrong way. To lose your parents that young, especially when you got powers like our's...yeah it wouldn't be pretty. Nothing has happened yet, the White Ranger disapeared again but knowing that someone out there knows who we are and is playing games like this is pretty nerve wracking. I just wish we had a way to draw her out and stop her.

Dear Alan,
What do you know about this White Angel? Maybe you can draw out some kind of trap? Or find out her secret identity. If the police think she's a villain as well then maybe you can get the police to help? Sorry if my suggestions are crap.

Dear Bridge
No those are actually good ideas. Unfortunately the police haven't seen her yet and all we know about her was that she was supposed to be an actress in some show in Vancouver. Terrific Transforming something or other. Best we can tell she hasn't gone to ground for a while though. I'm sure we'll figure out something.
In other news. School is almost over for the year and we're planning on heading to Japan for a bit to meet with some of the Wild Corp people. Based on how things went down between us with the White Ranger and in London, think it will end with us going our seperate ways. Anyways I figured since we'd be in Japan for a few days anyways if you'd like to meet up somewhere or something. What do you think?

Dear Alan,
That sounds like a good idea, I live in Tokyo, if you just go to the address you've been sending these to and ask for Bridge I should be there. What exactly is "Wild Corp" though?
I look forward to seeing you.

Dear Bridge,
You haven't heard of Wild Fighter Corp? I kind of assumed they were well known in Japan. I probably shouldn't have told you any of that. Well since it's already out of the bag, Wild Fighter Corp is an organization that wants to unite the world's heroes set up by a guy called Zach DeRaggon, I can never remember what his Rider form is called Gatt-something, he looks like a blue beetle. They mean well but they don't trust us and have been keeping stuff from us so I think we're going to end up cutting ties with them soon.
--Alan
PS: Could you please not go snooping around too much about them. They mean well even if they don't work well with us. I don't want to cause them trouble.

Dear Alan,
Okay, I promise not to snoop around. If you're absolutely sure that they want to do good and if they already have a fair amount of heroes it might be more useful too keep them as an ally. Speaking of which, surely they can help you with the white angel?

Dear Bridge
Alot just happened since my last letter. The Angels stepped up and went after my Father. They hired an assasin to aid the White Ranger when they had a major attack on the other side of the city. They got us blind. The funneral is next week, and we're not going to be able to leave town for some time now. You're welcome to come to the service but I'll understand if you can't make it. You barely know me and live on the other side of the world.

Dear Alan,
I'm coming to the funeral. See you in a few days.
-- Bridge
Bridge got up the next day with a few Canadian dollars and an airline ticket. Most of him wanted to be there for Alan, but he knew how he felt. Losing a parent was unforgivable, so Bridge was going to help them take out the White Ranger.
