Tim flew as the kick connected, "Damn that's one big kick" he said as he struggled to get up.
"McGee you okay?" Gibbs asked.
"I'm fine boss" Tim said as he started firing his Famas at Jason, "just have someone bring out a rocket launcher!"
"The explosion will kill us...let's get outside first" Williams said.

As COSMOS turned to face the others his body suddenly jerked and blue flame shattered the Starite Domes.

"What's happening?" Tony asked nervously.
"Don't know..." Kono said, "but I'm not waiting to find out,everyone bail out!" Everyone rushed outside and stood guard waiting for whatever to happen...or for Jason to start attacking again.

The transformation failed and the suit exploded, leaving a burning Jason Grawli in the centre of the small explosion, in blue flames and ash seeping out of his body. His skin became irregular as skin cells bursted and decayed.

Patriot heard a small explosion and they looked at each other before going in to see a badly charred Jason, "Jesus...what the hell happened?" Tony asked.
"I don't know...but let's get him to a field hospital now" Gibbs ordered.
"Roger," Kono said and flipped open her phone, "This is Patriot we need a Medibeetle right now."

Jason's body malformed into one vaguely reminicent of an Orphenoch for a moment before returning to that of a human. Head on flames the AI chip that had been implanted fell out, melting on the ground.
"Help." Jason yelped as the flames continued to ravage his body.

"****" Kono cursed as she grabbed a fire extinguisher and extinguished the flames ravaging Jason's body, "just what the hell happened?"
"Don't bother" Gibbs said, "he's an Orphenoch...that's what happens when their body breaks down and they're dying."
"So what we can't save him?" Kono asked.
"Nope...we can't."
"What happened?" Ziva asked as she came into view, "is this..."
"Yeah..." McGarrett said, "guy's dying"

[Umm.. Dude - When Orphenochs die their bodies combust in blue flame and their body breaks down into ash - It's kinda impossible to extinguish the flames.]

Jason lay shivering on the ground - Why wouldn't he just die!? Ash still ate away at his skin and the flames continued to rage. His cells were destabalized but he was still alive.
It didn't hurt, his body just felt numb. He didn't understand.
Death was an injection - First, a sharp pain that crushes your brain, then nothing.
This wasn't death, was it? It was too diferent...

"Show the man some respect Williams" McGarrett said.
"What I can't show disdain for the guy who tried to attack us?"
"He must've had a reason, probably a good one from what we've seen today?"
"Williams is right" Gibbs remarked, "he's taking too long to disintegrate...even for an Orphenoch's view point."

"I am dying, aren't I?" Jason whispered loudly. "No... I can't be dying..." He muttered. "This isn't death..." His arm was reduced to ash and he stared at Patriot from his space on the floor, feeling like a small child.

Gibbs approached him with a look of sadness and pity on his face...he knew what Jason was feeling, both Gibbs and McGarrett were Orphenochs so one day they would have to experience the same thing they're seeing now, Gibbs decided to quote something from his time in the Marines Corp., "Don't fear death...embrace it, you were an Orphenoch once but now you're human...you fought for your country, you fought for humanity and most of all you fought for you own humanity. Rest in peace...we'll take it from here" he said softly to Jason.
