Blind Date [Open to a single male character]

[Kent Nelson]

"As you will." Kent gestured to a waiter. "A glass of the Avignon 1993 for me and, for my friend here..."

[Noa Clarke]

She already had a glass of tea, which she took a sip of.

[Kent Nelson]

"She's fine." Kent said. The waiter went away.

"Now then, Ms Clarke. As this is a blind date, I assume we know little to nothing about each other. So, tell me a little bit about yourself."

[Noa Clarke]

"I'm a fashion designer. Or, trying to be one," she told him. "I...I'm not doing very well right now, my designs aren't being bought to anyone I try to sell to, but my sketches are good. About myself...I like to hold onto the past, I guess you could say. I want to help people as well."

[Kent Nelson]

"Interesting." Kent smiled and nodded. "There's not much you don't know about me that isn't in the papers."

[Noa Clarke]

"I...um...don't read the papers," she admitted.

[Kent Nelson]

Kent sighed, relieved. "Thank you." he said. "Okay. I'm a businessman. I run a major pharmaceutical company, and I collect artifacts of the ancient world. I'm a philanthropist."

[Noa Clarke]

She nodded, "That's interesting," she said.

Not really, not to her.

[Kent Nelson]

"Yes, I suppose it is."

[Noa Clarke]

"So what's that like?" she asked.

[Kent Nelson]

"Fun, mostly." Kent said. "Sometimes a little tedious."

[Noa Clarke]

"I imagine it would be tedious," she said.

[Kent Nelson]

"It is sort of. Running a business isn't exactly my favourite thing to do."

[Noa Clarke]

"I meant archeology," she said, "It just sounds it."

[Kent Nelson]

"Sometimes, yes." Kent said, as his wine arrived. "But some of the things you find are more than worth the wait."
