The Snake Unknown staggered back, one of Hayate's swords in her gut as the aura of light appeared above her and she exploded. (Did you want Hayate to see the evolution too?)

Raina came up to the next hill...and then stopped, looking down at the lake below, in the distance.

Raina looked....seeing something in the distance, along with some kind of altar. "Can you um...draw me something to see far away with?" she asked.

She could see a number of people chained together...and a group of Lords guarding them. Then she turned, looking at the Buffalo Unknown on an elevated platform, with a strange artifact resting upon it. One of the "prisoners" dared to try and resist, so he was unshackled from the group and brought in front of the platform.
Raina could only watch as the artifact's power was activated, and simply drew out the entire bone structure, back into it. The human suspected of demonic influence (read: possible evolution) fell over, laying there in a heap, not moving. "What in the..." she whispered softly.

Raina's eyes widened as he kissed her, but she felt acceptance...a desire to protect her...and....love? This was new to her...but she didn't resist...and when he pulled away, she reached up a hand, apparently going to slap him.
But that wasn't the case, as she rested the hand on his cheek instead. "I'm not leaving you...I got a second chance, in this world...and to walk away from a second chance like that....would be foolish of me."

A second chance at her life? Or...what?
She said nothing about it. He wasn't good enough with people or this sort of situation to know what she could possibly be meaning. How she had taken that kiss. He reached his hand back down to his hilt, "I'm going," he said, turning quickly on his heel and running towards the situation.
