Attempting a Reunion [Natsumi]

Vector was gone. Finally gone. They had burned yesterday.

With some help Kiriha had managed to figure out where Natsumi was. He needed to find her and talk to her. He needed to do his best to restore their marriage, if he could.

A suit was what he chose today, along with leather gloves that fit tightly over his hands. He had his collar all the way up and buttoned, and was limping a little, searching.

[Natsumi Sonozaki]

Natsumi had gone up a mountain road, stopping at an overlook, and parking her bike there. She followed the path through the thick woods, up to the overlook proper, where she sat, thinking about everything that had happened. She hadn't called her sisters at all...and the more she thought about McKenzie's ideals, the more she disliked them. But....she'd promised, at least, after what had happened, with the Lust Greed...to hear him out...and to take 'that' particular secret to her grave unless absolutely necessary.

He hadn't expected her to be up there, and without Cyclone, his walk was hard, even with his advanced body. But he persisted; he had to. He loved her, and he wanted to make things work out. He wanted things to be right.

By the time he reached the top, he could finally see her and started approaching, giving out a weak call, "Natsumi!"

Natsumi sighed, visibly face-palming as she turned her head to look at him, her eyes showing little emotion.

He continued to walk towards her. His limping and staggered movements would be very noticeable. "I'm glad I've found you..."

Natsumi felt rooted in place....part of her wanted to go and help, part of her didn't. "I knew this would happen, sometime." she gave in a flat tone.

"Then I guess this isn't too unexpected," he said, nearing.

[Natsumi Sonozaki]

"Sit over there." She directed, pointing to the other chair, a reasonable distance away, close enough to hear each other talk, but nothing more. "Say what you've came to say."

He walked that way and sat down awkwardly, his body aching. He put his right hand up on the back of it to lower himself down. His sleeve went down, and as he gripped it, blood ran out of his glove, down his arm.

"It's done," he told her, starting with that, "Vector is gone, like Shocker before it."

[Natsumi Sonozaki]

She steeled herself mentally at that....ignoring the part of her that did indeed love him. "I figured as much. You wouldn't have come otherwise."

"I didn't intend to come," he said a bit more softly, "I didn't intend to live through that fight."

[Natsumi Sonozaki]

"Typical...placing no value on your life at all." Natsumi retorted.

[Kiriha Kyuuseishu]

"You're my life," he told her bluntly, "And after what happened, I thought my life was lost."

[Natsumi Sonozaki]

"You know what I was talking about." Natsumi replied, not giving rise to his words...though part of her began to wonder...

"I know what you mean," he said, "And I know what I mean. My life should have been lost at least twice. I feel I had to try to give it back, if we couldn't save our love."
