Adam had been hurt. Physically, of course. Where he had been in time was drastically different. 2034 had changed violently since his last visit, and his wound was the evidence. It burned slightly as Adam put pressure on it. Teddy had gone to get medical supplies and Adam was waiting outside the parked New DenLiner.
The injury had been worth it, though, as he had managed to gain some knowledge of things to come. But Adam, of all people, knew that the future wasn't set in stone.

Doug was wandering, not really with any particular destination in mind, when he saw the back of the New DenLiner. He walked around it, and saw Adam sitting there, and he looked like he was wounded. doug walked up, and said, "Hey Adam. How's it going?"

Adam was confused initially. Then he caught on. He still had it all wrong though. "Ohhhh. I see what yooouuouo!" He tried to stand up straight, but the pain forced him down again.
