"Well, the Ranger tech belongs to Lightspeed, so I don't own you." Mrs. Fairweather corrected. She then extended a hand toward Rick, and said "Angela Fairweather. And you are...?"

Ryan was about to speak, then a siren went off and lights started flashing. He said, "The best kind of training: on the job. Let's go!" and he waved them in his direction as he left.

"What are we supposed to be doing?" Rick asked as they hurried after him, "Fighting? Rescuing? What?"

As they entered the vehicle bay, Ryan walked up to a screen and hit a few buttons, and the screen switched to an interesting scene. There were creatures, like werewolves but more human-like, with only wolf bodies and teeth, as well as weird symbols in their foreheads, wielding spears. Leading them was a very strange creature who appeared to be able to create and manipulate fire. "We're fighting these guys." Ryan replied, completely straight-faced. |

"We're fighting?" Rick questioned, "I'm a rescue worker, not a fighter."

"This what Lightspeed does. We fight to protect and save. More often than not, we deal with the repurcussions, but this is rare indeed. If we move quickly enough, we can save a lot more lives by defeating this guy here." Ryan said, pointing to the lead creature. "If you would prefer, I can fight him while the two of you save the people in the surrounding buildings. How's that sound?"

"Awesome. Now, quick overview of the tech." Ryan said as he walked over to a rocking cart with all of their weapons on it, and he picked up the Brigade Laser and said "The Brigade Laser, your sidearm." then he picked up a Brogade Lancer, and said "The Brigade Lancer, additional weapon. Also, fun fact," as he pulled out his Rider Grip to demonstrate, he changed it to Blaster Mode, "It can turn into a gun. There's more, but we haven't the time." He walked over to his Rescue Chaser and gestured to the Brigade Chasers, and said "Color-coded for your convenience. Let's ride."
