It wouldn't be too long after that Rei returned, serving Haruhi something good, and making something good for herself. She spread out a second towel on the rock, and sat down on top of it, beckoning to him to come and sit on the rock with her.

...After a moment, she sighed. "I understand." Then, she launched into the story of her travels, leaving out the part about Nexus, and the story of her former boyfriend...
