An old man had been found aboard the Fury, one who knew a great deal about history, and had something interesting to note.
He was told to wait in a meeting room for the Rangers to appear, for his message to be given.

Darius was walking toward the room with Karina next to him. "What do you think he has to say?" Karina asked excitedly.
"Probably something important." Darius replied.
"Yeah, but still! Any ideas on the exact subject?" she asked.
Darius shrugged and kept walking. Karina pouted for about half a second, then followed Darius again.

Riley wouldn't be able to attend. She had been stopped on her way by the captain and ordered to head to the surface of the planet they had landed on. They were getting readings they didn't like, and she had Saint Mode for extra power, so she waited by the Fury instead of getting to hear.

Outside, Riley heard the stealthy sound of steel being slid out of scabbard. She turned to see the figure of Crow's Eye approaching.
"Him?" she questioned, transforming directly to Saint Mode and lifting Lionsheart.

Riley was losing pitifully, unable to hit him with her fire or sword, only getting parried occasionally when she got too close for him to dodge. He continued to easily beat her around.

She hit the ground from his slash to the chest, de-Morphing. She lay there, gasping in pain as he approached, sheathing the sword and tossing the dagger to his right hand. He leaned over her, lowering the blade and slicing open the center of her shirt, licking his blue lips.
When she tried to move away, he grabbed her throat, "No," he said simply. He looked her over and shook his head, standing up, laughing a bit, "Damn superstitions," he sheathed his dagger, "I have yet to try that one, and I won't."
"What are you talking about?" she demanded, confused.
"It's considered to be ill luck to take a bastard."
