It wasn't like Mal to chase rumours, but at this stage he had nothing to lose. He hadn't managed to find any decent users who he could train for his Blackjack side, and with these rumours he was willing to try chase them.
In his standard attire he walked up to the school, unsure of how to approach.

Jerome was hurrying after a girl, "Come on! You can't be serious!"
"Completely," she told him, "Now go away."
He stopped and ran his hand through his hair, "Was it something I said?" he called after her, but got no response.

Mal raised an eyebrow, seeing what had happened. He approached Jerome, trying not to come off as a creep.
