Hanako waited outside Hikaru's locker, waiting for him to arrive. She was twisting her hair around her finger, and she wanted to tell him something important.

Hikaru came in and opened his locker, not noticing Hanako momentarily. When he did, he jumped slightly.
"Hanako-san. You startled me."

"C-Can you walk me home after school?" she asked, blushing even redder.
...Okay, that wasn't what she was going to ask. Prom was coming up in a couple of months, and she wanted Hikaru as her date. But she asked something else instead as she couldn't get that question out.
