Ryu let his arms rest at his sides. "You're more than that...to me. It might seem unlikely...it's true. I'm going to go put my school items up." he said, picking up his bag and walking to their room....he hadn't used it the first night...sleeping on the floor beside his side for most of it...but he walked in and shut the door behind him.

Chiyoko put a hand on her heart. Ryu thought that way about her...? She wasn't sure what to say about that.

Ryu looked down for a moment...wondering if he'd made the right choice. Then...something that man had said came back to him.
"If you give up....you'll never get what you want in life. All that's left...is for you to decide. What'll you do with your second chance, Kensaki?"
He looked down again....clenching a fist.... and opened his eyes.
Takeda-san....thank you. he thought...picking up the Jet Corresponder's incoming call, and nodding...writing a note to Chiyoko, short and sweet, telling her that he was away to fight monsters alongside a comrade.
Then, he opened the window, and slipped out, being flexible enough in his own right to do that...and started running.

The window would be open...and the note was there in plain view.
Meanwhile...the group of Goumin and Grinders surrounded a single area...a long haired beauty in a t-shirt and blue jean shorts...her first venture into her new life as she wielded the Jet Katana, skilled as ever in the ways of the blade. A few would go for her...only to get shot down.
She looked...to see Ryu, OwlGun in hand, walking towards them in a classic pirate fashion...one truly proud of themselves.

Chiyoko read the note and saw the window open. Without any other thought, she rushed out of the house to catch up to him.

When Chiyoko would catch up...the two stood side-by-side, opposite the mooks. The Jet Katana had disappeared apparently, and Kari spoke. "Ryu...it's time." "Yeah."
They raised their right arms...the Cross Changers appearing. Then, in sync, they pressed them, calling out, "Cross Changer!" The duo glowed in red and yellow energy for a moment before the Red Hawk and Yellow Owl suits materialized.
Ryu rested the OwlGun on his shoulder as Kari held her right hand at her left side...a burst of fire appearing there before resolving into the Jet Katana...and emboldened by her second chance...she led off, flourishing the blade forward, and then bringing it back. "Red Hawk...Kari, Shiba."
"Yellow Owl...Ryu, Kensaki."
"Chojin Sentai....Jetman!"
The two then dashed forward, Kari slashing away, while Ryu shot and kicked at mooks.

"Bird Blaster!" Ryu called out, dual wielding now as he battled on, while Kari stuck to one weapon...her favored one. Still...it looked as if they perhaps could use some help...

Chiyoko held out her arm as the star-charm bracelet on her wrist became her Sailor Star Bracelet. "Pluto Power, Make Up!" she exclaimed, transforming into Sailor Pluto. She then swung her Garnet Rod, creating an energy slash that flew at the targets.

The two spread their wings and flew up just as the energy slash went through a number of them, causing an explosion. They looked to see what the source was...

That voice... he thought for a moment, Kari answering for him. "Your help would be appreciated." she said, the two of them touching down on either side of her, to face the remaining mooks.
