Zangyack everywhere. Gormin, Sugorming, and leading them were two men. One filing his nails with a slightly tattered silver jacket, while the other was dressed in red colors, completely overdressed, but in a pirate-sense. He had a trumpet in his hand, while his other held a sleek blaster weapon.
"Give up those Keys," the man with the trumpet told the downed Phantom Ranger.
Pieter struggled up, "These Keys don't belong to the Zangyack," he hissed, "They belong to the Gokaigers!"
"Then you can die," the man filing his nails said, nodding his head. The scores of Sugormin lowered their arms, trained the blasters on him, and were ready to mow him down.

Several shots rang out, hitting the Sugormin. Captain Marvelous walked toward Pieter, his gun raised. "Basco," he said to the overdressed man with the trumpet. There was a tone of anger in the Captain's voice as he said the man's name.

The Phantom Ranger rose, "GokaiRed," he said, recognizing Marvelous as the man he needed.
"Marvey-chan," Basco said, smiling, "Did you know that I beat you lot to a Grand Power?" he was almost laughing when he said that.

Marvelous' eye twitched when his rival mentioned that, taking out his Mobirate. "You took advantage of the fact that we were separated..." he said.

"Isn't that what a pirate does? Takes advantage of the weak?" Basco questioned him, lifting his trumpet, "Let's have a duel, Marvey-chan. I'll show you what it can do."
"Don't fight him," Pieter said, looking around, "Where's your crew? Where are the other Gokaigers?" he demanded.

"They're coming," he said. "You, on the other hand, need to get somewhere safe." He then took out the AkaRed key. "I'll take both of you on!" he told Basco and Rei. "GOKAI CHANGE!" Marvelous inserted the key into the Mobirate, turning it once he did so.
"AaaaakaRed!"
Marvelous stood before Rei and Basco as AkaRed, the GokaiGun still in his hand.

"I'll leave him to you," Rei told Basco.
"Marvey-chan, look at this," he said, blowing in his trumpet, playing. An orange energy emerged, spinning around his body, cloaking him in it.
"That's the power of the GoGoV (or Lightspeed Rescue; whatever)," Pieter said, "I saw him get it when I was still a commando for the Zangyack," Pieter turned to Marvelous, "Be careful." He thought about the Ranger Keys he had, but didn't offer them yet.

Marvelous smirked under his helmet. "Impressive, Basco. But I'm taking that power back. SOUL ADVENT! SHINKENRED!" He then performed ShinkenRed's henshin, donning the suit of the Shiba House's leader.

As the light faded, Basco stood in an armored state, partially reminiscent of Demon Hunter Seig (minus the animal themes on Basco's form). He lifted a heavy broadsword, "Come, Marvey-chan. I lost all of my Keys; I have to do it this way now." Pieter grabbed Marvelous, "I'm warning you, don't fight them! That armor is what defeated me! And I rarely lose." |

"I'm warning you! He's powerful! I know the concept of the Grand Powers, what their points are, and that man has twisted this one to suit his own needs! It's made only to destroy! He would have had me beat in about two minutes, had he known I have Ranger Keys that he wants from the start."

"Marvelous!" Joe was running with his Mobirate and Key in hand, Ahim by his side.
Pieter still wanted to know where the others were. Then he saw Ahim and froze. It was...it was so good to see his sister again, even behind his helmet.

"The others are on their way," Joe commented.
"Marvelous-san, who are these two?" Ahim asked, referring to Pieter and then to Basco.
Pieter decided now was a good time. He drew a small bag from a piece of his armor, pushing it into Ahim's hands, "Take those Ranger Keys and get out of here; get back to the others and give them to them."
Ahim could tell the voice was familiar, but couldn't place it.
