History:
Leonard Church was the son of two scientists. His father, Andrew Church, was working on what he called "Project Freelancer" and his mother was a biologist. Leonard was very well educated during his school years, demonstrating the superior intellect that he had inherited from both his parents. Leonard managed to get into Harvard and, along with some friends, came up with designs for a combat suit that could, one day, be placed in the military.

Tragically, Leonard had to be pulled away from his education to attend his father's funeral, as he had died two months previously. Following the funeral, Leonard attended the reading of his father's will, and learned that Andrew Church had intended him to be the successor to Project Freelancer, and had left him all the documents he had created, including schematic for the morphers. Afterwards, Leonard did not return to Harvard. Instead, he began travelling across the globe, searching for potential Freelancer candidates. After four years, he returned with seven new Freelancers, almost all of whom were equipped with the new Beta Freelance morphers, one of which was given the Alpha-Beta Freelance morpher of Leonard's own design.

Gathering together the five original candidates of Project Freelancer, Leonard settled down as Director of the operation, continuing his father's search for the "perfect weapon", and all the while posing as a scientist, even being awarded a Ph.D for a paper on the nature of trans-phasic particles.

"Yes, Mr Director." Gilbert wiped the sweat from his brow. "The subject is ready and waiting in the test chamber."

"Good. I want to make sure that my new morpher design works." Church took a clipboard from Gilbert and examined it thoroughly. "What about Alpha Team, are they in position?"

"Yes, sir. The captured Alpha-Beta morpher is their objective." Gilbert replied. "just through here, Director." Gilbert motioned at a thick iron door.

"Perfect. Let's get started." Church handed the clipboard back to Gilbert as he presented his thumbprint for analysis.

Personality: Above all else, Bill is dedicated to Project Freelancer and it's objectives. He does not completely trust Leonard Church and sometimes disagrees with his judgement, but would never disobey him. As Team Alpha's leader, Bill gets along with his squadmates, including newer addition Reginald.

History:
Bill come from Berlin, where he longed to serve in the military. It was all he wanted out of life: to be able to serve his country well. When he was 18, he signed up and was placed in 7th Brigade. He served there for 5 years, and eventually was promoted to Sargeant and given his own squad to command. The group was deployed to Mexico where they engaged a group of terrorists along with some American soldiers. However, tragedy struck when Bill misfired and hit a female American soldier with a bullet to her head. Admitting it was accidental, Bill was discharged for his own safety.

Bill had been deprived of the very thing he wanted the most out of life, and was forced to wander the streets in search of a job. However, fortune came in the shape of Andrew Church, who offered him another chance to fight as one of his "Freelancers". Bill accepted the offer, and worked with Church for a time. Before he and the other five could actually go on a mission, Church died. At his will reading, Bill met with Leonard Church, the project's successor, and was given one of the new Freelance Alpha morphers. For a few years, the Freelancers were left without a mission, until Leonard Church returned with seven new Freelancers, carrying better equipment. Bill realized that, with horror, that Leonard's new "Agent Texas" was the soldier that he accidentally shot in his army days.

History: A large part of Tex's memory is missing. The first thing she remembers is waking up in a hospital in Texas with a wound in her head. She couldn't remember her own name, but eventually deduced that her first name was Alison, from what she heard through the doctors that treated her. After four months, she was discharged from the hospital, her wound healed. Unfortunately, a large chunk of her memory was still missing, and she wanted to find out what she had forgotten.

Alison began to travel throughout America, trying to piece together her past. She learned that she had once been a soldier, who had been discharged due to a bullet wound. This explained Alison's higher-than-normal strength and stamina, yet she was keen to learn more. So when a man offered her a job, claiming to be able to help her recover her memories, she immediately accepted and went with him. A few years later, she, along with six others, met with five people that the man had also hired. For some reason, she immediately hated the leader of that team.
