Other Equipment:
- Bakuroids- Small droids, inspired by Candroids but based on Bakugan toys, Doug uses these for various reasons. Doug has 5 of each on his person at all times, unless stated otherwise. Same goes for size, which is universally about the size of a golf ball. He activates them by flicking them. He can build more, but the parts are a little expensive.
- Red- Based on the little red dragon guys with the horn, Red Bakuroids have the ability to fly, and have a GPS locater built in, as well as a backup burst transmitter. They are used very similarly to Taka Candroids, in that they are used to find and/or follow persons of interest.
- Green- Based on the green robot Bakugans, Green Bakuroids are very fast moving. They have a 1 megapixel video camera and high resolution microphone, as well as a small folding USB port on the bottom and a small antenna. They are uses similarly to the Batta Can, but cannot work like walkie-talkies. They are often used in conjunction with Red Bakuroids, to survey certain areas. The video and audio is transmitted live to Doug’s laptop, and he can also call them in, and fold out the USB port and plug them in, where another use of theirs is unlocked. Doug can plug them into a special Bluetooth headset, THEN he can use them like walkie-talkies, except they only go one-way.
- Blue- Based on the blue tiger Bakugan, Blue Bakuroids are a very interesting Bakuroid. Doug only has 3 of these on his person, and they are about the size of tennis balls. The reason for this is because they store about 300 yards of thin, but strong cable inside, which they can fire out of a port in the back and wrap around people that need to be restrained. This cable has been tested at up to 700 pounds of force.
- Black- Based on the black snake guys, upon activation, Black Bakuroids wrap around the activator’s wrist, and activate a force-field that can withstand up to 1000 pounds of force. Doug only uses these if he needs protection, but is unable to henshin.
- Red- Based on the little red dragon guys with the horn, Red Bakuroids have the ability to fly, and have a GPS locater built in, as well as a backup burst transmitter. They are used very similarly to Taka Candroids, in that they are used to find and/or follow persons of interest.
- The Machine Lancer, his bike.
History
Doug lived a relatively normal life, growing up in Chicago and getting decent grades in school. His love for moves began at the age of five, when he watched his first movie and pointed out a few glaring discrepancies. He began devouring movies, watching as many as he could get his hands on and becoming more and more sensitive to the points that were lacking, like little to no character development or things that aren’t explained. He was on a roll for a while.
His career as an internet reviewer began in college, when he made a video about him reviewing a movie and put it on youtube. Thus began a long battle, starting when youtube took down his review for copyright violations. Doug eventually just gave up, and banded together with a few friends and created the website That Guy With The Glasses, where he could post his videos in peace. He did this for a while until he turned 24.
This is when his career as a Rider began. He was out walking one day when he heard an explosion. He ran toward it, and found the Kangaroo Undead attacking the place, with a weird Rider in green armor fighting the Undead. The Undead hit the Rider pretty hard, and he went down, with his henshin undoing. Doug ran over to help, and the guy gave him the Lance Buckle and his cards, saying “Take this. Avenge me. You are Lance now.” and with that, the previous Lance died in Doug’s arms.
Doug took the Buckle and looked through the cards until he found the Ace, Change Kerberos, and placed it in, watching as the cards looped around his waist and formed the belt. He said “uh, transform?” and fiddled with the Buckle until he opened it on accident, and jumped when it said “OPEN UP” and projected the holographic Card. He gulped and walked through, discovering it to be painless, and ran into the burning building to defeat the Kangaroo Undead. He confronted it, and managed to defeat it by ramming out of a fourth-story window and performed Impact Stab. He doesn’t know why he did it, but he took out a Proper Blank and threw it, sealing the Undead and creating his Hop Kangaroo card. He went home, and found package on his doorstep. Upon opening it, he found the Lance Absorber and a note, saying “You may need this.”
He took it, and just sort of tossed it in the corner, and called up Adam and Joe and told them his news. Thus began the few-months long process of the creation of Channel Awesome, and Doug heads it up to this day.
OOC Stuff
Anything Else: Doug will not start with his full deck, only his Ace(obviously) 2 through 6, 8 and 10 cards. He also starts off with the Lance Absorber, but he can’t do anything with it yet, so it just gathers dust at his house until he get the Jack, Queen and King cards.
OOC Name: Ben
Name Color669933
Number Of Stars 8
Color Of Stars Green
Sample RP: Doug walked through the town, enjoying the sights, when he noticed a large crowd of people that appeared to be running from something. He craned his neck, and saw what appeared to be a Fangire.
“Delightful.” Doug said, as he pulled the Lance Buckle out of his belt and slotted in the Change Kerberos card. He slammed it in, and started walking, holding it in place as the cards slid out and formed his belt. He yelled “Henshin!” and opened the Buckle, as it said “Open Up” and projected his card in front of him. He continued walking, and passed through the card, donning his armor and equipping his Rouzer. He then pulled out his Wave Lancer card and swiped it. The Rouzer said “WAVE” and absorbed onto his chest. He slashed once, nailing the monster dead on, and it turned.
“Hi there!” Doug yelled, “I’m your enemy here, bucko!”
The Fangire screamed or roared or whatever and charged. Doug swipped his Mighty Impact card. “MIGHTY” was heard as the card absorbed onto his chest. He took a stance, and stabbed forward when the Fangire was in range, finishing it off once and for all.
