Description: Thin but not skinny with an unkept beard, Johnny Blaze could easily be mistaken for a standard homeless man and you wouldn't be entirely wrong in making that assumption. He hasn't had anywhere to call home in a long time but with his wealth amassed from his time as a celebrity stunt jumper he manages to get by for the most part. He's almost never seen without his Biker gear since the road had become his home many years ago.
Rider Stuff
Name: Ghost Rider
Henshin Device/Sequence: Unlike most Riders Johnny doesn't have a device to trigger his Henshin. He simply focuses upon the Fallen Angel trapped within him and unleashes it. To other is appears as though his body had spontaneously combust and his flesh melted away leaving only a skeleton. The transformation also effects his bike, converting into what appears to be obsidian and bone and giving turning the wheels into Hellfire.
Forms:
- Form Name: Standard Ghost Rider Form
Appearance: A bleached skeleton with a flaming skull draped in biker leather.
Transformation: As above.
Weapons and Abilities: No real weapons in this form, just enhanced strength and resilience.
Finisher(s): None, this form is rarely used for combat. - Form Name: Penance
Appearance: A charred skeleton consumed by light blue flames visible through every opening in a standard biker jacket.
Transformation: As above but the flame is light blue.
Weapons and Abilities: Hellfire chain and shotgun both weapons do damage proportionate to the guilt upon the soul of the one they are being used against.
Finisher(s): Penance Stare: Blaze grabs the finished opponent and forces them to stare into his eyes which transmits a portion of his Hellfire directly into their soul forcing them to feel the pain of everyone they ever hurt before burning away their soul. - Form Name: Angelic
Appearance: Similar to Penance form but with a pair of blood stained white feathered wings sprouting from his back.
Transformation: In this rare form Blaze appears to go into Penance form before rising into the air with his arms out stretched and the wings burst through his jacket.
Weapons and Abilities: Holy Sword, a sword of glowing light that inflicts extra harm to demons and other evil magical beings.
Finisher(s): Last Rites: Blaze crosses himself and divine light shines upon the one being finished. This banishes extra dimensional beings to their home plane and inflicts great pain upon all others but it is non-fatal.

- A small collection of arcane tomes for information regarding demons and other supernatural evils.
- A cell phone.
- A set of chalk for erecting magic circles.

Inside Stuff
Personality: Johnny means well but he's bitter. He's mad at his parents for dying on him at a young age. He's mad at Hell for claiming his adoptive Father. He's mad at the world for claiming his wife and child. He's mad at Heaven for creating the Ghost Riders. Above all the is mad at himself for not stopping any of it. None the less despite his abrasive behavior he does everything he can to help people, even to the point of using his Rider powers on petty mundane criminals he crosses and be a hero so that no one else has to end up like him.
Strengths:
- Heroic, does not suffer the wicked to live. That's not to say he's judgmental of others, he's made some bad decisions himself but he will not stand by as someone willfully hurts another for their own personal gain.
- Experienced, he's been in the hero business in some form or another since 1972, only the original Kamen Rider has a claim over his experience here.
- Selfless, he got in this mess because he sold his soul to save his adopted Father from cancer. There is nothing he won't do to help someone in need.
Weaknesses:
- Simple, selling your soul and becoming a demon in High School really hurts your education. He's not stupid but he doesn't have much of a conventional education as such science, math and other subjects not connected to day to day life or hunting supernatural evil is largely lost on Blaze.
- Nostalgic, even the barest mention of his time without the Rider curse or his lost family will push him over the edge. Doing such is an almost foolproof way to get an edge over him in any conflict.
- Heroic, no matter how horrific the monster he will let them escape if the alternative is to let innocent people die.
History:
Johnny Blaze was the son of a stunt motorcyclist Barton Blaze.Throughout most of his youth Johnny lived with his Father as part of the traveling Quentin Carnival where he was part of a motorcycle stunt show along with Crash Simpson. When Johnny was still young Barton died in a failed jump. Johnny was then adopted by the Simpsons, where he grew closer to their daughter Roxanne. As the kids grew into adolescence they became inseparable lovers. Years later Crash Simpson was diagnosed with terminal cancer, after modern medicine had failed to save his adopted Father Johnny turned to dark magic. He pledged his soul in exchange for the demon Mephisto to cure Crash. True to his word the demon cured Crash who instead died a month later in a stunt accident as well. This deal bound a Fallen Angel called Zarthos to Johnny Blaze turning him into a being called a Ghost Rider. For a long time he struggled with the evil being that would take control over his body at night until Roxanne found out about it. Their love briefly purified Johnny and freed him from his curse. They settled down and ran the carnival in peace for many years, even getting married and having two children. That was until Mephisto returned to reclaim Blaze's soul, Blaze reawakened Zarthos and fought off the demon but not before the Mephisto had killed Roxanne and his children.
Johnny in a state of depression took to wandering the world and righting whatever wrong he came across. In this he discovered more about the nature of the Ghost Rider. Zarthos was not a demon as he had assumed but an Angel that was secretly placed within him by the forced of Heaven to protect his soul and to serve as Heaven's assassin on Earth, punishing the evils of Hell and Humanity alike. He also found out that he had a half brother Danny Ketch who had similar powers, the curse of the Ghost Rider ran within his family.
Johnny and Danny were throne into conflict when the Angel Zadikel came to Danny instructing him to kill the other Ghost Riders and take their powers to prevent corruption of the human hosts. In truth Zadikel was aiming to conquer Heaven and wanted the power for himself. In the end he was stopped by Blaze who is now wandering once more looking to find his place in the world.
Anything Else: This is an amalgam of aspects from the movie, comics and some fanon versions of this character and trying to make him slightly more equivalent to a Kamen Rider. Why yes I do like demoniacally powered superheroes, why do you ask?
Sample RP: Chicago, the city stank of sin. The kind of sin that Zarthos would just love to consume with flame but Johnny Blaze wouldn't let it. He knew there were well meaning people trying to help others or at the very least just trying to live their lives in peace amongst the monster hiding in the shadows. Those were the people he fought for, the people who would never have to know the pain he feels every morning he wakes up.
Of course sometimes the sinners make it easy for them to form a compromise. Club Clover, a wretched hive of scum and villainy, sophisticated scum that committed most of it's evils behind the guise of legitimate business but scum all the same. He pauses for a moment to call upon the beast within himself and allow the flame to consume him leaving only a charred skeleton and blue tinted flame before he kicked in the door and roared with darkened furry. "Lucky Clover? Time to pay the Devil his due!"
Ironic, his whole life had been about avoiding doing just that himself but it tended to scare the superstitious and cowardly criminal lot.
