Dear God I love this version of Moriarty. He looks camp, he listens to the Beegee Boys and is basically a slightly hands off version of the Joker. His whole "Sir Boastalot" routine that he said while Donovan and Anderson talked to Lestrade was great, Jackanory's special effects have never been so terrifying! Katherine Parkinson in pigtails and a deerstalker = Yay. Overall plot was great. This episode was written by the same guy who wrote "The Blind Banker" you know? Well he's turned it around ... Now one question remains: How'd he survive? I'm thinking that Holmes analysed the fall and managed to spill a lot of blood but remain more or less okay. John didn't notice because a bike clipped him. Moriarty's body has been buried, not Sherlock's. Molly pronounced him dead (It's what he needed from her) and did the autopsy.

Yeah, I was surprised that he turned this episode around, after Banker.
I just finished it about forty minutes ago, and loved it. I was hoping for more of them handcuffed and working together, like at the fence. I think that would have been interesting. As for Moriarty changing his identity, that part got a little odd, especially with Sherlock's "I can use the code to erase and restore his identity" thing. What?
Two downsides: Moriarty's suicide (though it pegs him as his own killer, not Sherlock taking them both down), and Sherlock's survival. Yeah, he survives, but I'd rather it end with John at the gravestone, not Sherlock looking on. I'd rather we get confirmation of Series 3, and just know he survived, instead of showing us that at the end. Though it makes sense when Moffat said that they got renewed for 2 and 3 at the same time, I guess, since they knew it would come back.
All in all, great season. Can't wait to hear how Sherlock survived (Molly, I bet, faked the death notifications, etc.), clears his name of being a fraud, etc.
Also. Did the police just stop searching? I mean, they got calls and texts, John even went back to Baker Street. Seriously, why were there no police there just in case? Why didn't they try to find them via their phones?

Yeah, we needed more cuffed together, especially after that "We need to synchronise line". We could've gotten some good use of scanning each others body movements.
I think the main idea of the code was that they assumed that Moriarty had used it to add in "Richard Brook" to a bunch of files and delete "James Moriarty" from as many as he could without looking too suspicious.
So they thought they could repeat it and eliminate the Brook persona.

Doesn't make much sense, since they're making the code the important part in this. But if it unlocks any door, I guess you must assume it can bypass any online defense as well for the files.

That was what Moriarty implied, in reality he just knows people and how to blackmail them.

Right, but that's all I can figure out for how the code could possibly do them any good.
