Johnny pauses unsure how to say the obviously complicated relationship between Kyle and someone unseen. "...your friend."

"No as in the Kentucky Durby." Johnny sarcastically replies as he feels the gaze of the support staff fall upon him he goes silent. He doesn't like dealing with that sort of red tape and official business, he likes his heroism simple between him and the bad guy.
