Alec Knight was on the phone with his boss, who was threatening to fire him. For the third time that week.
"Sir, I just need more time." Alec said. There was yelling on the other end of the conversation, and Alec sighed. "Just give me one more week and you'll have your story."
More yelling, then the call was dropped. Alec just sat down on a near-by bench and rubbed his temples.
It had been a week since he had been assigned to do a report on the strange murders that had been taking place in the past month, and so far he had nothing.
The bodys were completely mutilated. What on earth could have possibly killed these people? He thought.

Something was hunting here, something not quite human. The Ghost Rider could feel it as he rode through town. Now all there was to do was find it and put it down before it could hurt anyone else.

Alec mounted his bike and decided to go back to where the police had found the bodies.
Maybe there's something I overlooked last time. He thought as he drove to the warehouse the victom had worked in.

Johnny Blaze was already there looking over the fading chalk lines from where the bodies fell. He looked up at Alec as he arrived. "You a cop?"

"I'm no reporter." Johnny said with a slight smirk but offering no explanation as to why he was there he just walks past Cross and into the night.
"I hate to tell you this but the cops don't got the fire power needed to fight this thing off."

"I don't know what kind of tricks you got but this is more than one Rider worth of monster." Johnny says getting back on his bike and heading out a short ways. He's staying close to the crime scene though in case it shows itself again.

Kyle sighed and stood up. This was like nothing he'd ever seen before, what could possibly be killing these people. He should be on the SHOCKER case but instead he was here looking for ... whatever it was. He sighed and walked out of the warehouse, he needed to get some rest.
Kyle sighed and slumped against a wall. He needed ... something, maybe he should take up smoking.

"Freedom of the press mean anything to you?" Alec said to Kyle as he walked out. He didn't know what the two men were talking about and he didn't care.
He then noticed a wrench laying about five feet away from the chalk. Picking it up, he noticed a black liquid all over the the edge.
The victom must have tried to fight off his attacker with this! But this blood is definitly not human.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice an inhuman figure creeping out from the shadows.

Kyle held up a middle finger as the man passed him. Another f*ck*ng reporter! This day couldn't get any worse could it? They still hadn't found the murder weapon yet.
Kyle looked over his shoulder.
"If you touch anything then it's tampering wi-" He stopped and ran at Alec tackling him to the ground ...

"What the hell!" Alec said as the man tackled him. "I knew cops didn't like reporters but - what is that thing?!"
Just then a humanoid snake-like creature came into view. Alec recognized it as one of his father's scientist's bio weapon experiments.
My dad needs better security.

Kyle got up and pushed Alec away before getting out his phone.
"I found it! I need G1 down here ASAP!" He ordered.
Kyle cracked his knuckles and looked at the monster.
"Okay let's see how tough you are ..."

At the sounds of the monster's appearance Johnny shifts into his Rider form and storms back into the warehouse brandishing his hellfire shotgun with which he blasts the monster a couple times.

Alec pulled the buckle out of his pocket and placed it on, forming the belt. A pattern of silver lines appeared on his body.
"Never used this thing for combat, but there's a first time for everything!" He said, then pressed the level two button.
What looked like liquid silver wrapped around his body, forming his armor.
