Suzie smiled behind the helmet and slipped her hand into Kevin's. "Okay," She chuckled "This way we won't get lost,"

"Oh yeah, this totally romantic." he laughs to himself.
In one swift movement he picks Suzie up and plants her on his giant shoulder, giving her a good 'spotter' position.
"Good. Let's see where this leads." he turns his head up towards William.
"Keep going on towards the announcement system Billy. We're gonna check this tunnel out."

"Wagh!"
Suzie's minor shock disappeared and she sighed, spinning her gun and then pointing it in front of her as they walked down the tunnel.

As the two riders deeper into the underground tunnels. Old as the palace itself. At first they appear to be a labyrinth, but soon enough they can both see the 'main tunnel'.
"Looks like this leads somewhere...important."

"But where?" Suzie asked, scanning down the corridor with her gun.

"Well if we're lucky, a hot tub and some nachos."

At the far end of the hallway (a good two miles away) Mantis opened his eyes in his crossed legged position. "Interesting." he arose from the ground and picked up a sword cane laying on the table near the door "Let us see if we can't sate your blood lust." An eye in the handle of the sword opened at Peter's touch. It began frantically searching the room with it's gaze. Blood. Blood. Blood for the Blood Lord.

"Did you hear that?" Asked Suzie, tapping Kevin's helmet to see if he'd stop.

Kevin stopped and raised his gorilla like arms and leveled the machine guns into the darkness.
"Yeah" he whispered "My scanner is picking up light, on the far end. About two miles away. This tunnel is really long."
The hallway has turned into a straight long tunnel, with no apparent side tunnels.

Suzie jumped off of his shoulder and started walking forward very slowly.

After about thirty minutes the two heroes reach the end of the hallway. The room at the end is a large square stone room, an ancient chandelier hangs from the ceiling illuminating the empty room. The only only object within is a strange portal.
It was eight feet high and eight feet wide forming a perfect circle. Various occult symbols decorated the stone ring that circled it's edge. The center is filled with 'water' the color of night and rippled with the sounds of the dead.
"What the?" Kevin open his faceless helmet "My scanner just went wack. It says that liquid doesn't exist."

"As in it doesn't detect it?" Suzie asked, walking around the portal "Okay, then without scanners, what do you reckon it is?"

"No. As in it's a black spot. A 'black hole'." his helmet redeploys "I can translate some of those symbols. Alchemy, ancient Babylonian, Egyptian, the list continues. It would appear they all refer to 'death' and the underworld." he leans in closer "Also there's a reference to something about three keys and 'killing death'."
Kevin reaches up and bangs his helmet a bit.
"I'm getting another reading in here. Like there's something 'invisible'."

Mantis watched silently, invisible to the naked eye thanks to his black magic. His eyes arched as Kevin mentioned 'three keys'.
This is unexpected. These 'riders' appear to be smarter than I thought..
He pulled the demon sword from his scabbard. The blade, still invisible, left a trail of silver from it's tips, giving Suzie and Kevin a way to follow it.
The blade flew straight for Kevin's chest. It connected with drawing blood, but it threw his hulking form against the wall and left a dent in his chest armor. He fell face first under rubble from the wall. Peter began tracing a sideways figure eight with his sword, creating the infinity symbol.
