Kyle hopped up dodging the first strike and then clamping his arm down over the staff lodged in his armpit before giving the staff a tug.

She tried punching him in the face but since her punching power was down in this form it didn't really work. So her belt glowed a silver color as she spoke, "Cho Henshin!" and the Dragon Rod changed to the Tora Spear, and Kyle had approximately all of two seconds to get away, or he would be speared through the shoulder as her form changed to ToraJet form.

Nasty cut, lot of sparking, quite a lot of blood and a cry of pain as Kyle staggered back with a hole in his shoulder.

The Spear dropped to the ground as Kuuga reverted to human form, and the cute, albeit very conservatively / badly dressed, girl that he would see in said human form helped him stagger over to a nearby tree, where she helped him sit down and lay against it.

"Ah," Kyle gasped quietly "That hurt more than it should've," The shoulder pad and his chest armour fell off and he reached up with his uninjured left arm to pull the helmet off.
"Ow ... how bad does it look?" He asked, looking down at his bloody shoulder.
