Retsu stood silently, simply content right now with watching, trying to think of a way he could earn respect. But why did he care so much?
New chapter in his life, he supposed, was the reason.

Rekka finishes up the armor a bit later, and hands it to him. "You can go in that room to change, looks like normal clothing, but it heightens your survivability. Use it well." Rekka said, handing the pieces to him.

He took it, nodding with a slight smile, "Thank you," he headed towards the room before adding, "Rekka-chan."

She said nothing, acknowledging him with a nod before sitting down, her back to the door to the other room as she looked into a couple of things.

Cold.
He went in and changed into the armored clothing, feeling great in it. It would be perfect for fighting. He knew why the Knights wore it, now, after donning it himself.
He threw his coat back on and stepped out, "I'm changed," he told Rekka.

Rekka spun around in her chair, and nodded a little. "It suits you." she said simply, a statement of fact.

"Tell me something, Rekka-chan," he said, folding his arms over his chest, "The Priest I knew said that Knights were supposed to wed Priestesses, or Priestesses were to wed Priests, to keep the practices of the Makai flowing through the generations. Is that true?"

Rekka looked away from him. "There are bloodlines of Makai Knights and Priests, yes." she answered. So forward...part of me feels uncomfortable....part does not... she thought

"I thought it was supposed to be that way." He shrugged, "I was wondering how the order survived for so long, since inbreeding would be a bad idea, and eventually you'd think it might come to that. Doesn't sound like it has to be done, though, from what you say," he commented, not really caring...he just wanted to talk to her.

"I'm just trying to make conversation," he told her, "So I figured that something of the Makai might be good. That was really all I had that could come off as a real conversation, as in, something I didn't know."
