Kase said nothing as she saw the kiss coming in her mind but did not react, his touch on her cheek felt warm...and the kiss felt gentle on her lips, but she could tell a little of the undercurrent of desperation that was there. She returned his kiss softly...but pulled away first. "Great reason, I suppose." she remarked dryly, but once again her mind was confused. Then she turned, putting her hand on the door knob..

He made no apology about kissing her, made no comment as they headed out. It felt right to have kissed her. He was in love with her, and if he couldn't have her, at least he could do that once.
I think we might be done.
