Hunting the Defectors [Open]

[Wakana Sonozaki]

Wakana went for a back kick at the female Lost Oni.

[Ibuki]

That Oni swung the bladed end of the guitar up for her kick.

Ibuki kept his distance from his foe, firing to strike rapidly. He whipped around and laid down cover fire for Wakana.

[Wakana Sonozaki]

Wakana's kick hit the guitar. "Tch," she said simply, backing away.

[Ibuki]

"Be careful!" he shouted to her, "If she tries to play that guitar, stop her! Their impure sounds are dangerous!" He rapidly fired on the male and ran at him while firing, extending his claws off of both hands, slashing it across the chest with his left.

[Wakana Sonozaki]

"Then I guess I'll need to stop her from using it!" she said, taking out a yellow memory.

"LUNA!"

She inserted the memory into her driver, and opened it, and her armor changed color to Yellow. She then extended her arm toward the Lost Oni and tried to wrap it around her.

[Ibuki]

The Oni was bound, unable to use the guitar.

A few more slashes from Ibuki took his opponent down. While downed, he fired his stronger attack; the Oni Stones, and then completed the Reppu into a proper trumpet while the body was impaled.

He began to play, causing the body to shake and convulse, exploding from the Stones.

[Wakana Sonozaki]

Wakana used her other hand to punch the Oni.

[Ibuki]

Ibuki disconnected the Reppu from the other parts, firing on the Oni to impale with Oni Stones, "Stand back!" he shouted, recombining his weapon and playing the pure sound, causing it to explode.

[Wakana Sonozaki]

Wakana moved arm just before Ibuki fired. She readied the Trigger Memory just in case, though.

[Ibuki]

The pair of Rosutoni were dead. Ibuki exhaled, "That was easier than expected. Guess because I didn't have to fight both at once," he shone, his face becoming normal, the rest of his body an Oni yet.

[Wakana Sonozaki]

Wakana's helmet vanished in a small windstorm. "I don't think it'll be the last of them, though," she told him.

[Ibuki]

"Of course not. For generations we've fought them, and yet more keep appearing," Ibuki said, "It's a job that never ceases as long as there are Oni to eliminate them. And if no more true Oni exist...then the Rosutoni can't be stopped, as only the pure sound of an Oni can slay them."

[Wakana Sonozaki]

"A pure Oni... Like yourself?"

[Ibuki]

"Someone who has trained long and hard to fight evils like them," he replied, "I am a pure Oni. Some diverge from the path to become Rosutoni, through promises of power, because of their greed and laziness, they don't wish to do the proper training, and it costs them."

[Wakana Sonozaki]

"No better than those that use Gaia Memories to fulfill their desires. No matter what kind of monster they are, their motivations are the same."
