Mele left them and went back inside to Rio, kneeling beside him.
"What do you want to do about those two?" Kirihiko asked.

"We leave them be. If they want the Soujyutou's power...which I know they do...they'll come for it." Airi said, before hearing a scream and running towards it.
Rio had taken a long drink of the water and now lay resting quietly. Then he looked up at Mele, "I feel...that there's something missing here..an item, maybe?"
(first encounter with the Angler, while Rio and Mele have more moments...including the part where Mele thinks about taking a small kiss....I hated when Long interrupted that...then the stage is set for the final battle in the past.)

"I don't know, Rio-kun," she said, "But if there is something missing, I will find it for you."

"I know." Airi said, turning the corner at the top of some steps to see the Angler come out of an old man that he had possessed. "That's far enough, RinJyuDen!" "Gekiranger? You got here quick..." the Angler said, getting in a stance.
"We won't let you have your way here. Henshin!" The Arcle Belt appeared around Airi's waist as Jan looked down to see it, and nodded. Then she did the pose and transformed into Kamen Rider Kuuga's Rising Mighty Form, red with gold trim...
Rio then described the Soujyutou to her, as a stone artifact in the room..

Kirihiko took on the Nazca Dopant form while Tsubasa pulled his helmet on, his armor already in place.
"I don't see it here," Mele told him, moving as close as she could to him.

The Angler charged forward and threw a punch at Airi only to have it stopped by a predominate elbow. Then Jan stood forward after transforming to GekiRed, and set both hands together as she jumped up on his hands and then back off, hitting the Angler with a knee strike.
"You're not going to get this power." he said, the Soujyutou having been changed from its stone form to a real form during the portal transit, and this weapon he drew out, slashing Kuuga a couple of times, but to no effect. Then after she grabbed his wrist, trying to get the weapon from him, he used one of his hands to tickle the side of her armor, and she reflexively jumped back. "Hey!" "Hahaha, even a strong warrior as yourself has weakpoints." The Angler said, jumping up and over the Riders and Ranger and punctuating his point by extending his hook forward and catching it on the rear part of Kuuga's red and gold armor skirt, lifting it up a bit. He then laughed at her yelp, "Baka girl...its way too early for you to be facing me!" he said taunting them.
Rio sighed a bit, looking at Mele again, saying nothing even though he wanted to say so much more in his memory deprived state. "For some reason...that item was important. But I suppose I will follow your advice...and rest." He said, looking in her eyes for a moment before drifting off to sleep. His attitude...his demeanor...were so different than what she knew...and as it stood, he would never find out if she stole a small kiss from him...though stealing is a relative term based on something you didn't want someone to have..

Kirihiko slashed at the hook to give Airi her dignity back while Tsubasa leapt forward and threw a bicycle kick at Angler.
She knew she had to get the Sozyuto (the spelling I know and am used to) for Rio. She leaned down and gave him a kiss before getting up and walking out to find the others.

(Doesn't matter about the spelling, we know we're talkin about the same thing.  ) The Angler was caught by the bicycle kick and Kuuga nodded to Nazca in thanks as she turned and went after the enemy again. While Rio slept, a glow began to pass over his body...from the bracelets on his right arm... |

Kirihiko used his speed, focusing plasma into his left hand. When he reached Angler he plunged his hand in at the Rinrinshi's chest.
Mele was arriving on the scene, transforming without a word. She leapt into the fight, lashing her tongue out for Angler.

Kuuga turned to see Mele there, "Mele? I thought you were with Rio?" she asked, not sure if Mele would recognize this form or not.
Angler was sent backwards by the plasma fist, taking the hit but he fished the tongue up and had a second hook reach out for Mele, which Airi stopped from taking Mele's dignity too.

She looked to Airi, "I am the warrior of love; here to do only the bidding of Rio-sama. Chameleon-ken user, Mele! He wants the Sozyuto, so I will get it for him!" She ran for Angler, , her body burning and changing into her other form; her Swan Fist form. She drew her blade back and leapt for him.
"Rinki: Feather General Fearful Desire!" she shouted, unleashing a swarm of razor feathers at Angler.

Angler leaped back using his fishing pole to swat the feathers aside before sending another hook at Mele.
Airi delivered a kick to Angler's side, but he would twist that around and throw her to the ground on her back.

Mele deflected the hook with her rapier, sending it wide. She ran for Angler, finding that he had pulled the line, encircling it around her back. That shouldn't be a problem...
It was. Somehow she instantly lost her form. She looked to Angler, unable to transform again, unable to use any Ringi techniques. He was cutting her powers off with one of his own, it seemed.
Mele had no plans at this point. Angler sent a shock through the line with his technique, rending her unconscious while he went for the downed Airi, keeping her contained in a line as well, and then fleeing, creating a blast of power that kicked up a poof of dust around them to obscure them from the others.
And then they were all gone.

Angler was also hit by the plasma attack, turning to lash out at Nazca.
"Let's finish him." Rio said simply, getting in a stance along with Jan, as they spoke together:
"RinGi: Goyu Ko Ha!"
"Gekiwaza: Ho Ho Dan!"
RinLion and GekiTiger jumped forward, mauling the Angler repeatedly as Airi watched
