Airi leaned into the embrace, quietly, before hearing the elevation of voices...
"Is your opinion so easily swayed? Is your loyalty to me so fleeting?" Rio said, shaking his head. "Those who practice RinJyuken were...left out in the rain." he paused for a moment, an old memory coming to his mind before he shook his head again. "There was no place for them, because the damn GekiJyuken tenets were too inflexible! So we made our own place, and they didn't like it! I will re-establish that place, that Rinjyuken...I will find who holds the secret RinGi to revive the Kenma-tachi...and then I will take my revenge...on the Tiger boy...and the White Tiger." Of course, the white tiger he spoke of was none other than his former triangle mate, Dan. But it could be construed to mean Airi, in Mele's mind.

"I refuse to let you harm Airi!" Mele snapped at him, thinking that she was the White Tiger in reference, "Rio-kun...I want to follow you. I would follow you to hell and back, because I love you, because I'm loyal to you, because I want to be with you. But...I can't abandon my friend; I can't ignore what was done to help us today. Rio-kun...if you care about me at all," at this point she was starting to come to tears, "please do this for me. You don't need to love me, as I love you, but please, consider this for me..."

Rio stared at Mele for a moment before standing to his full height, the full impact of his dark aura flaring around him as he replied "That young woman is no threat to me. And she is not of whom I spoke...The White Tiger, Dan. There is another who holds his power as well. And what do you know of me? To rescue you, I invoked Goetsu Dosshuu. They did not believe me, yet they followed anyway." Rio paused for a moment, the dark aura calming down.
"There will be no plots from me to defeat her directly...but if she interferes, she will be dealt with. If you choose to defy me again, Mele, I will not be so merciful."
After Mele had had a chance to say something, they were interrupted by a brief, "Ano.." from Airi

"What do you want, cub." Rio's voice looked over towards Airi with a glare, and Airi, to her credit, just stared back, her voice serious.
"If you want someone to be angry at...be angry at me. Be angry at me for looking for the best in others, be angry at me for caring about the wellbeing of someone that loves you. Be angry at me for getting in your way. Be angry at me for believing there's still a little good in you when the Masters think you have completely turned. I can take it. But do not deprive her of anything...she loves you more than you know, and is eternally loyal to you. Even such a man as you...of hatred...jealousy...and anger...can see the value that she holds for you."
Rio paused for a moment, taking in this information (Mele can say something or have a thought / reaction)

"Rio-kun, since you revived me, I've been nothing but loyal and loving. Please, I am willing to always serve you however you wish me to, but please, do this one thing for , and I will be forever in your debt." She was wiping her tears away, trying to regain strength in her voice.

Rio sized Airi up, before turning to see Mele and hear her words. "I have said that I have no interest in destroying her directly. What more would you have me concede, Mele?"

"That we can be allies with the Geki Jyuken," she pleaded with him, "That's what I want! I don't want to fight any of them, not anymore!"

"No. There will come a time in the future where we will...and I will consider this at that time...but not now."
Airi shook her head, walking over and kneeling next to Mele, putting an arm around her. "What good does it do, Rio...if the strong bully the weak?" A golden aura flared around her now, the first sign of what would be to come. "What good is it if everyone isn't protected? Rio...you're not right on this." she said, standing up, and Rio looked surprised..."What is that power?" "You'll find out." she replied.
Airi turned and walked away from the two of them.

"Thank you, for at least considering later, Rio-sama," she stopped calling him "Rio-kun". She watched Airi go, happy that she had helped.
Kirihiko went towards Airi, "You did the best you could," he told her.

"Do as you will." Rio said, turning and stalking away from the campfire, before leaping atop a high rock as the moon shined down through the trees. He would clear his mind...and try to ignore the nagging sense of guilt that had surfaced within him about Mele. The bracelets glowed again, as Kata spoke to him in a low tone.
Airi shook her head, "I have done what any other practitioner of Geki Jyuken would have done. It was nothing special." she said, feeling very bad for Mele now...but she had foreseen it, in hindsight...

Mele watched Rio go, then she took his cloak from earlier and laid down on it, just wanting to get the night over with after that.
"It doesn't exactly look like it, but I think you managed to help her," Kirihiko said.

Rio thought of his cloak...but then remembered he had given it to Mele. Deciding that was a fitting thing to leave as it was, he put together some leaves and laid down....tomorrow he would begin the quest to find the Madoku...or perhaps give that honor to Mele....decisions indeed as he nodded off.
Airi looks at him, "How so?" she asked...before turning to see Mele and deciding to only say a few comforting words to her, since she had been through enough. Her attention drifted back to Kirihiko for a moment.
