The Princess of Darkness (REI)

[Hikari Rei]

"I am." The outdoorswoman replied, walking over and picking up Kivat. "You should take better care of your companions." she said with a small smile.

[Sonoko Kurenai]

Sonoko looked at Kivat and scoffed, "Who him? He maybe my father's former advisor but all he does is complain about me becoming better than him...I hate him and the other Arms Monsters as well."

[Hikari Rei]

"I see." Rei replied, gently sitting Kivat down against a small rock. "You hate the fact that you inherited this power, and that you're expected to be someone that you never wanted to be." she said, as a statement, not a question.

[Sonoko Kurenai]

Sonoko, "You got that right...just because my father was Kiva doesn't mean I automatically want the position of Princess of Darkness" she said pouting while leaning on a tree.

[Hikari Rei]

"While you may not like it...your power is not a punishment, or a curse...used correctly it can bring hope." Rei said, walking over to another tree facing the one she was leaning at and standing near it. "I too was chosen for something vastly beyond my comprehension."

[Sonoko Kurenai]

Sonoko chuckled, "True...but judging by your appearance then you work for the Light, I serve both the Darkness that is my heritage...and the Light that is my duty...so tell me who do I work for?"

[Hikari Rei]

"You tell me. Power by itself is just that, power. But it is how you use it that's important. Would you rampage like the kaiju, or protect those who can't fight back?" Rei nods a bit, "The Light gave me this gift...and I have no doubts as to how I will use that gift."

[Sonoko Kurenai]

Sonoko stared at her, "You're a strange human..." she mumbled, "I wonder how father felt...being Kiva? I wonder if he ever hated it just once."

[Hikari Rei]

"I wouldn't know. But I've fought...been pushed to my limit...even been hurt, yet I never once hated my form." Rei said, speaking from her own experience, not knowing of her father.

[Sonoko Kurenai]

"Lucky you..." Sonoko said sarcastically, "I wonder why kaijins never seem to work in harmony with human? I wonder why they even exist in the first place" as she's saying this she got up on a fence and was slowly balancing herself on it while walking.

[Hikari Rei]

Rei just shrugs a bit as she walks along on the ground with her, being quietly set to catch the girl if she fell off. "Who knows?" she said simply.

[Sonoko Kurenai]

Sonoko stumbled for a bit before regaining her balance then jumping off she said, "So...now that you know I'm Kiva and I know that...you're some warrior what's your story on becoming it?"

[Hikari Rei]

"..." Rei was silent for a moment, "My name in that form is Nexus." she said, before continuing, "I led a hiking expedition into the woods...and I failed to save two people from getting injured, and took an injury or two myself getting them out...After they were taken care off, I just wandered off, away from the others...I was tired, hurt, distraught..and angry at myself...and during my self-tormenting, I stumbled upon some ruins...vast expansive ruins..and after finding my way inside, I saw a strange stone statue...and felt compelled to touch it. Little did I know that the Light had called me there...and made me the Deunamist...a human that is able to bring out the armor of the Light which is Nexus."

[Sonoko Kurenai]

Sonoko nodded, "I see...well mine's pretty simple, my father was the previous Kiva and he saved Tokyo from being eaten alive by Fangires. He married, I was born, my mother died in childbirth and he and the other guardians took care of me, then...he died in his sleep and I had to take the mantle of Kiva."

[Hikari Rei]

"Yeah. Sorry to hear about your parents." Rei said looking at her.
