Johnny just looks at Clive with a confused expression. "What do you mean, 'What will I do'? I'll be dead. You don't do much of anything when you're dead."
"As for why I'm doing it let's just start with the fact that I killed him."

Clive looked genuinely suprisied, "You killed your own brother?" he then tried to wrap his head around that, "Mind telling me why?"

"Zadikel tricked him. Made him think that he had to kill all of the Riders to save the world or something and got him addicted to the stolen power." Johnny sighs.
"He got more of them than I realized existed. He had to be stopped. There were three of us against him in the City of Skulls. He killed the others before they had time to even throw a punch. I tried to talk him out of it but there was no getting through, I put him down like a rabid dog." His eyes are no longer filled with Hellfire but the anger burns almost as bright.
"I made the ultimate mistake once, I'm not going to do it again."

"Then we're on the same side," Clive said softly, "Zadikel works for Azrael who's trying to destroy this world. How about we destroy them first...after that you can have the book and resurrect your brother. It wouldn't be any good if your brother was resurrected only to fall to Azrael's grip again now would it?"

((It's the other way around. Azrael works for Zadikel.))
"I'm done with the hero game, okay." Johnny says shaking his head.
"I did my time and saved the world from ending at least a dozen times. The game has changed since my day. Last year I got my ass kicked by a Bird with coins and some kid with a jetback in Chicago. The world has enough heroes it can do without me."

"You think your time is over?" Clive asked, "perhaps it is...the world is changing far too quickly for anyone to adapt and change in time before they're either killed or running away for their lives. But then there are those that can adapt to change...and they're looking for someone to look up to, if you've saved this world countless times as you said but then what happens when the demons you've defeated rise up again? Who's to say that those people that got your ass kicked won't be able to stop them? Who'll stop them then?"

"You're fighting Azrael and I heard some kids in Canada were doing pretty good with the demons themselves." Johnny shurgs as he starts walking past Clive further into the cave.
"You guys can pick up the slack for me."

Clive sighed and wondered what to do: follow the man? Or go back to Suzie? He looked back and forth between the cave and where Suzie went, he then shrugged and decided to follow the man...Suzie can take care of herself while Clive wasn't sure what the man wanted, plus he also wanted to see what else the cave offered.

"If you are going to follow me then at least give me your name kid." Johnny says looking back at Clive.

"Forgive me for my rudeness," Clive said slightly tipping his top hat, "Clive Edingburg at your service...and you sir?"

"Johnny Blaze." Johnny replies without looking as he journies further into the cave.
"Your powers come from your two friends right?"

"If you mean Satan and Michael then yes...however I was born with magic, my family were magicians with ties to Magitopia, the city of Magic, so I already had magic within me, Satan and Michael simply augments that power and allows me access to higher-class magic." Clive explained, "of course there's the downside of my soul burning in hell once I die or if Azrael breaks the seal on both of these spirits."

"Comes with the territory. Rider stories rarely have happy endings. We live in the dark fighting things people don't want to admit exist and we die there unmourned and unloved."

"True...we're the hidden side of history" Clive sadly said, "but then there are those that remember us, people that we've protected and saved, the world might not remember us but they will. If there are people that are saved because of what I do...then I can burn in hell happily knowing that."
