"The Statue of Liberty?" Jerome questioned, "Really?"
His handler nodded, "Yeah, the Statue. If it goes down, that draws the attention of the government. With the government focusing here, we can take a shot at the Pentagon."
"The Pentagon?" questioned Jerome.
"Yes. We hit there next. Divert the attention of whatever that anti-terrorism unit here is, as well as the government and army. While they fret about where the next attack is going to be, we go after the Library of Congress and find their records on Hopper."
"All of this for a lead that might not exist?" Jerome asked, shrugging, "Fine. What do I do?"
"We have one of our men going after the Pentagon right now. All you need to do is," a storm crackled overhead, "use the lightning to lash out with a punch."
He pulled his helmet on and nodded to his handler, "Understood," he threw his fist up, summoning a lightning strike down with his arm acting as a conductor, "Let's cause some damage."

Johnny Blaze looked out from the crown of the Statue of Liberty. He used to come here to relax whenever the Carnival traveled through the New York area before Barton died and he pissed away his soul. It was surprisingly soothing to sit above the world and look down upon the chaos below. He's still not sure as to why he was drawn here today after not being in New York for so many years.

"Do it," his handler said.
Jerome threw his fist forward, leaving his helmet off. A large fist of thunder flew at the Statue's center, ready to smash it to rubble.

The statue begins to crumble under Johnny as a result of a violent lightning strike from inland. That would probably be why he was drawn here. He transforms as he falls to the ground the hellfire wrapped around his bones acting as an infernal cushion to sofen the otherwise fatal drop.
He doesn't have time to wait for the ferry instead he just mounts his bike and drives across the sruface of the water towards where he saw the lightining.

"The Pentagon?"
"Being attacked as we speak," his handler stated, pointing out, "Look at that. Eliminate him, whoever he is."
"Could it be Hopper?" questioned Jerome.
He knew it wasn't, but he replied, "Perhaps," he turned to leave, "I'm going to watch this, not participate."

As Johnny closes in it becomes more and more obvious that he is indeed not the Hopper. For one thing the Hopper has flash as opposed to flame wrapped around his bones.
"You the one smashing national monuments?" Johnny asks getting off his bike and facing down Jerome.

"I am," Jerome said, fitting his helmet on, "You're not Hopper. I'll take you down regardless, whoever you are."

"What kind of a holiday is that?" Nakida squealed. "Wrong hand!" She blurted out a moment later when Tobi grabbed hers. He quickly switched as the rose grew.
"I'm running out of Cells..." Tobias murmured as he slapped on his Driver, letting the camera fall to his chest. He ran towoards the source of the attack as he transformed, Nakida running along behind him as Rose.

Jerome's handler watched from a distance, seeing two Riders enter the scene. From what he had heard, these two were at Japan with Hopper 2 and Centipede. They had helped Hopper 2 then, so he doubted they would make that mistake again.
He pulled out a com unit, "The Pentagon?"
"Just struck," a voice replied.
"Missile Rhino, keep that up," he said, walking away instead of watching the fight.

"Hopper? As in Rider-1? He's Japanese why would smashing an American statue help you find him?" Johnny asked as he drew his chain and charged in closer to Jerome.
"Did Shocker forget to give you brains with those metal plates?"

"You wouldn't understand," Jerome said, using his namesake for a technique. He put all of the power to his legs, dashing forward with his much more powerful legs and getting a knee ready.

Post by William Arthur Philip Louis on Jun 7, 2011 21:44:30 GMT
William was in America at the moment meeting with the president when there was a sudden call of terrorism at the Statue of Liberty, "Your highness there seems to be a spiritual disturbance at the Statue of Liberty" Zaruba said.
"Horror?" William asked softly so as to not be heard by anyone else.
"No something else entirely" Zaruba replied.
William nodded and made an excuse before he slipped past his guard and rushed towards the scene of the crime, he then saw Johnny and Jerome fighting each other, "Okay so who's who?" William asked.
Zaruba looked for a moment before answering, "One of them has the spiritual residue of a demon while the other is...well not entirely human but he's human enough."
"Works for me" William said as he transformed into GARO and charged towards Johnny with an overhead cleave.

I take it they weren't at the White House?
Jerome saw GARO. Why attack the other man? Whatever; his knee was still going as well.

((The UN is based in New York. It could have been there.))
Both the knee and sword slash strike home on Johnny's chest forcing him back. The leather of his jacket tears where the sword slashes revealing the ribs and hellfire underneath. He looks up at Garo and asks, "Since when did Shocker use magic?"

Ah, very good point.
"He's not SHOCKER," Jerome muttered, hating to be considered in the same group as this...shining knight.
