Regarding Gokaiger Timeline

It was established when we started making canon Gokaigers, starting with Don, that the events of Gokaiger 1-15 took place, then they split up after Basco, leading into this RPG one year later. However, by that time, they have the Magiranger, Dekaranger, Gekiranger, Gaoranger, Shinkenger and Carranger grand powers.

There's a problem there, even though we've solved the Ranger Key situation.

Dekaranger still went off the same as before, more or less. We've solved that. However, at the time we didn't know what we were going to end up doing. In the Gokaiger timeline (canon to this RPG), they have the Shinkenger powers from Kaoru. The problem is that we now have the Shinkengers, and as far as I know, we aren't going to have Kaoru, and that also implies that we would have the same team as the show. We clearly don't.

Darkblade and I plan on making the Magiranger/Mystic Force team as the "Legend Mythics", I think the name is. Therefore, the Gokaiger's shouldn't have that power in this RPG since we're making the team as a mutli-national group, apparently.

Have to ask Rei about the Gekirangers, since he seems to plan on making Jan.

And so on. We need to clearly sort the Gokaiger backstory.

Well, you have to remember that a year has passed since episode 15 of Gokaiger. So at that point, Kaoru could have still been head of the Shiba Clan. She may have been killed in battle or stepped down from the position if we don't have her.

Rei does plan to make Jan, so everything involving the Geki Grand powers is fine.

The Magiranger powers are going to be a problem because of the Legend Mythics, though, if the team is fairly recent.

As for the Carrangers, as far as Adam and Tommy are concerned, MMPR through his departure on Turbo were canon. But as this is the Carranger powers we're talking about, it could have very well still been Kyouske through some freak incident that allowed him to cross dimensions. Best not get into that one, though...

But the Kaoru thing still isn't fixed; let's say she was killed in action or something, that still forces us to use Takeru. Also, Ayane, at the least, is part of one of the four clans to defend the Shiba clan, meaning that it takes away a canon family and places this one in. But, ignoring that fact, for the sake of discussion, let's just say that it was Kaoru and four original families, or whatever.

Where did the new Red come from? That's the problem, if the Red player doesn't want Takeru or Kaoru.

Well, I was considering playing Kaoru as Red, simply for the sake of attempting a Ranger team with more females than males.

Also, as far as I remember, Takeru hadn't shown up at all in Gokaiger. What's to say that he didn't die in the Legend War? I did find it odd that they were using Kaoru (who counts as an Extra Ranger) rather than Takeru.

Well, as for the Legend War, remember, it didn't take place on Earth in this continuity, it was another planet, and using Rangers with powers paralleling the Earth teams.

If you want to make Kaoru, go ahead. That would be great; I always loved her character, and that would solve this part of the problem.

Right. And I forgot about that bit concerning the legend war.

Carranger, we're not gonna ever attempt to explain fully. That still leaves Magiranger.

We'll have to ask Darkblade on that one, since he has the plans for Legend Mythics more than I do.

So, are you going to make Kaoru? Just wondering.
