Riley was alone right now, walking through one of the secured areas of the Fury, appearing out of place due to lack of uniform, but her Morpher gave her access.

She looked at him, tilting her head to see his Morpher. She brought her head back up, "I'm like you," she said, lifting her arm to show him the Morpher, "The lion god gave me his power. We're allies...and as a Ranger, I have access."

"Hey!" she shouted at him, "I was chosen for a reason. Not anyone could be chosen, so clearly my God believes in me!"

"I may not be a soldier, but I can fight!" she told him, "The Lion God gifted me with fighting prowess!"

"You don't have to," she said, with a small smile, "I am your leader, though."

"I can tell you're a soldier," she said sarcastically at his attitude about her being a civilian leader. "Look, I don't like having to be leader, but the scientists and the captain told me that it was my position, to lead with wisdom and courage, like my God."

"You lost people, didn't you?" she asked him. She had been fortunate, but few had. Though just asking was foolish, it was highly likely. "Someone close...?"

"Do you think so?" she shouted at him, "I didn't lose anyone close! That's why I'm not having the trouble that so many others are! But we lost so many people. We lost our world! How do you think I feel? I want to fight, but how do we fight an enemy who comes and goes as he pleases?"

"I saw the attack," she said, "There is no flagship. They appear from all sides and attack. If they lose some, they don't lose much. A defense has to be scattered."
Well, actually she hadn't known that. She was told that by some of the highest ranked commanders on the ship after becoming Red. They said she had to learn.

"From what I've heard of Crow's Eye, he's a schemer who likes games. Maybe he used a marked ship last time, but what about next time? Maybe there's going to be a marked ship, but maybe it won't be his," she told him.

"He's smart," she said, "I just know that he won't. I'm not guessing, I just know...because that's what I would do. How do you think he destroyed so many planets?"

"Don't call me that," she said, "I get why you do, but I don't like it. I'm your leader, not your commanding officer." Well, that made sense enough to her.

"My purpose is entirely different from theirs. And I won't give you orders," she told him.
