Damaras stood about Gigant Horse, looking down at the Earth below. The Gokaigers still lived. Oiles Giles - the bastard prince - still lived. Why couldn't his subordinates do their jobs? He has Basco and Fuyu working on it. Were they this incompetent that even Giles still lived?

The bow of ’Yamato’ slipped into existence a wave of energy that splashed across the battleship’s hull before dissipating from existence. Aboard a series of drones began to bring the powerful ship online. Sitting comfortably examining the glorious blue gem in the distance Earth sat the vessel’s Captain.
Okita chewed upon one the many assorted sweets sitting atop his console, noting the various systems pulse to their normal green on the damage control display. “Bring all weapon systems online” he instructed to drones moving bellow him. Sensors would be one of the last systems to be restored, leaving the ship blind to external threats.

"Damaras!" Insarn shouted.
He checked a screen. He saw Yamato appearing towards the side of the Gigant Horse and the Zangyack's fighters. Damaras regarded the new ship for a moment, "Establish contact," he told a Gormin, who began to route a signal.
"Incoming vessel, this is Damaras of the Zangyack Empire. State your identity and business," he ordered.

Internal claxons aboard Yamato’s bridge began to blare, short range sensors changing from a usual black to being marked by multiple red entities. Okita frowned as the majestic ’Gigant Horse appeared on external cameras.
"Incoming vessel, this is Damaras of the Zangyack Empire. State your identity and business," emerged a demanding voice over the vessel’s communication intercom. The captain paused for a moment, weighing up his options and receiving advisory data packets from ’Domain’
”This is the Captain of SB-01 ’Yamato’” he began ”A miscalculation has thrown us off far from our course” Okita continued whilst inserting the WMG key into its slot. Due to the WMG being a simple direct link between the reactor and the port it was almost impossible to detect the initial activation of the weapon.

"Return to your course immediately," Damaras told him, nodding his head to the Gourmin around. They began to get the weapons prepared while Insarn went off to prep her heavier external weaponry and scramble some ships, "You have two minutes."

“Very well” Okita remarked, deactivating the communication channel. The ability to warp again was out of the question –recharge would take too long. Doubting the vessel’s chances of escaping he looked at the drones that stood, waiting for commands.
“Action stations bring us about and ready the pin-point barrier!” He commanded, pausing for a moment to think of possibilities. “Ready all weapon systems and commence warp recharge!” He commanded. The Captain glanced at the blue gem out of bridge window before blast barriers slammed shut.
Atop the Yamato’s hull the powerful shock cannons spun on their railings before erupting in blinding flashes of light. The resulting flash produced multiple beams of energy that lanced towards the vessels.

"As figured," Damaras growled, snapping his fingers. A Gourmin quickly raised an energy shield, lancing it up from the two frontal prongs of the Gigant Horse, projecting a shield around it and any ships near enough.
Small cannons revealed themselves on the side of the Horse, charging up, energy spiraling for a drilling shot from each one. Small cannons, but the drill affect should work nicely, Insarn believed.
"Scramble Sugourmin," Damaras ordered.
From the bottom of Gigant Horse came a handful of large blue fighters; the enlarged and flight modes of their elite footsoldiers, ready to be released when the Yamato's attack ended and the shield dropped.

The spiral bolts struck the Yamato’s Pin-point barrier, deflecting a majority. Surviving rounds slammed into the reflective battle-plating of the Yamato, sparks arced across the hull as several scorch marks littered its bow section. “Switch Shock-Cannons to maximum output, commence energy transfer to the Wave Motion Gun” He barked, the drones moving to accommodate his orders.
Atop the deck each turret began to glow as energy was pumped from the secondary power-plant, each reconfiguring to their combination fire. Each beam that burst from the turrets began to merge, forming 4 high powered beams. Along the center line of the vessel dozens of Pulse AA cannons prepared to fire.
“Target scope open” Okita stated, triggering the scope to rise from his console. He was aware that the Wave Motion Gun wasn’t completed in terms of construction and the looming chance that it could burn out was high.
Bellow decks surged power conduits, the monolithic power transfer device begin freed from its locks. By now it would be obvious the Yamato was preparing to fire.

"Go!" he ordered the Sugourmin fighters as he saw the ships preparing. He wasn't a ship combatant; that was obvious. He was never good in ship-to-ship combat. His specialty was guerrilla warfare with small units. He had surrendered his planet's army to Zangyack and fought back with around three hundred men, decimating the Zangyack forces for nearly a year before he surrendered out of boredom.
Boredom.
But this was different. Guerrilla warfare in space?
He sent the Sugourmin to act as shields, along with any ships he could spare. If they formed a wall of ships, he could prep the evacuated Gourmin and Sugourmin into the currently-being-prepped fighters and get some good shots in.

A new alarm began to sound inside the bridge –the warning that the barrel would be at its chamber limit when fired. The Captain watched as the fighters attempted to form a wall as he donned the protective eye wear. “All hands brace for flash” he instructed, triggering the drones to deactivate their optics.
Was the vessel’s crew really so incompetent?
The vessel’s barrel began to glow with excess energy “Wave motion gun firing!” The Captain announced, pulling the trigger. Deep inside the ship moved the monolithic power transfer device which slammed into the fire chamber. In the vacuum the Yamato’s powerful reverse thrusters fired before a blinding beam of light erupted from the barrel, the resulting lance of energy sent tearing towards the enemy vessel.

Insarn pushed her way into the bridge, "Damaras! That's a wave motion gun! This ship can't handle taking a hit!"
"Move!" Damaras screamed at his Gourmin.
They quickly began to work the controls, activating shields for good measure as they used their thrusters, shooting down to avoid it. The fighters around them flew down as well, some went up, and some shot to the sides.
Due to the sudden lurch of the ship, Damaras lost his balance for a moment, gripping a console for support. He looked at a Gourmin and shouted, "Have the first wave attack. Now! Hit it from the sides while it fires."
The order was sent, sending about a dozen fighters and medium sized ships flying for the Yamato's side.

Sparks arced through the vessel’s power conduits, the residual energy feeding back into the vessel and directly into the Core and warp engine. Various drones that had been monitoring the ship’s systems fell to the ground, systems crippled. Inside the Core energy began to funnel directly into the reformation units.
Okita watched the various fighters and medium sized vessel approach on an attack run. “Shock cannons target the medium sized vessel, Pulse cannons target the fighters.” He commanded.
“Thrusters ahead full, prepare for atmospheric entry and load the plasma missile” He continued. The shock cannons spun from targeting the Horse and open fire along with the Pulse cannons to produce a hail of energy rounds. Soon after the powerful engines flared into life, pushing ’Yamato’ towards the Earth.

"Dodge," Damaras told only a few fighters, positioned at the fringes. They dodged to the sides, a few were damaged, but they were able to maneuver themselves as Damaras needed, as he too forced Horse to the side, using the shield to at least defend itself, taking a glancing blow.
"Fire on engines," Damaras told them. Every surviving ship that had launched an attack opened fire on the engines, while fresh ships flew in to add to the fire.

Energy rounds slammed into the thickened hide of Yamato, tearing into various plasma conduits that killed the secondary engines. Explosions erupted from the damaged areas before the plasma lines were cut.
Okita jumped from his chair, ramming a droid to the side he forced the lever which triggered warp downwards. The entire ship began to rumble and resonate as the field of blue energy began to once again form over its hull. “Launch Plasma Warhead, 0 second fuse. Target the flagship” he commanded.
The former smoke stack of Yamato slid open, releasing a large warhead as Yamato continued forward. In an instant the missile opened, exposing an angry sphere of super-heated plasma held inside a containment field. Bursting from the missile the tear drop blob of destruction moved towards the Horse at immense speed, propelled by the EM field generated by the missile

"Fire!" Damaras shouted.
The two prongs of the Horse began to charge with power, as they would when having an Action Commander grow. They unleashed streams of power, attempting to match the power, or overtake it, if only to stop the attack. Damaras trusted their shields, however, but he was no fool.
